Friend spoke to Wham fan in the week. Says they are more depressed than us

They’ve got some nerve the cheeky cockney bar stewards! We are the ones who are the most depressed by our club lol

In fairness, both teams have had good years, both are now massively underperforming and have stood with their managers.

However, they have their European adventure still going and are hardly in a worse position in the league. Plus I would imagine Moyes is not being a jackass about it so yeah, they can f*** right off thinking they are more hard done to than us

Thought we were pretty good in the second half and actually, had he made better subs we could have gone on to win it. Nostalgia is the only reason he keeps bringing Vardy on. Once again, he was non existent. All he does is point. It’s so sad watching him now.

Poor game.

Brendan subs killed it when we had momentum again.

Lacked belief to win the game. Stopped the rot but we don't create anything. We're in a real mess

His subs are not necessarily to make us more attacking and keep with momentum, rodgers is a very 1 dimensional manager.1 the subs would of probably been arranged before kick off (this shows lack of being able to change on the fly or tactically)

2 brendon is more fixated on not conceding, leicesters style if play shows this. Bring on fresh legs and CONTROL!  the money we pay him us an absolute joke!

Tete. He did not do much at all, he showed intent before he was subbed, but not much else tbh. Our midfield options are laughable currently, but why Soumare and not Mendy? Has Papy got a knock?

You can only think it’s for height, with the way Brentford play and our usual issues in the air and set pieces having ndidi and then soumare instead of mendy helps with that. Only reason I can see with that, surely you wouldn’t be bringing soumare on otherwise

The two week break has come at a good time. As much as possible we need to forget this season up until now and just treat it as an 11 game salvage job. Yesterday did give me a bit of hope. Brendan finally changed the goalkeeper, Faes was thankfully suspended and we did at least have a decent second half.

With it being so tight at the bottom I think all the teams down there might be troubled by the stick or twist mentality. If you're at 1-1 with 10 minutes to go, do you risk going for all three points or settle for one? Normally you would say a point is almost useless in a relegation battle, but with so many teams involved draws could be very precious.

Made the mistake of putting talksport on for some of our game today. willy puller Durham keeps telling everyone we're going down. That one who sounds like a complete chav who can't string a coherent sentence together thinks were awful at everything. Won't be making that mistake again.

He aint wrong though is he!

xG still counts regardless of on or off target shot. We had a flurry in first half of attempts such as Daka header and Barnes shooting wide

Daka missed at least two absolute sitters in the first half.

I think this is another instance where Xg let’s itself down

in most games it is a decent indicator of who probably deserved to win the game. Yesterday was a stonewall draw.  I suspect it puts too much emphasis on where a player is when they shoot at goal - take daka’s bouncing ball shot in the first half - if you just look at a 2D image of the play then it’s a decent opportunity given where he is  but because the ball is bouncing like that it really wasn’t much more than a half chance.

Btw, have you played football shiv ?

It does. Imagine a grid of the 18 yard box - it’s divided up into little squares, with the defined best position scoring the highest

I can't watch Rodgers' MotD post-match interview without thinking "what the fvck is he still doing here?" and "why are the Beeb crew still bothering with his meaningless comments?". Why just not show a video of him inanely clapping and caption it - 'fill in your own words'. He's supposed to be the boss, ffs, not some seat warmer.

On paper a draw with Brentford is a decent result, however given the Bees were below par then it has to be asked have we missed a golden opportunity to go out and take 3 points.

The teams in and around us are starting to show some real fight and determination and we are going to have to match that and then let our quality shine through. Now is not the time for shrinking violets, days like yesterday, where the opposition are having an off day we have to seize the initiative and punish them.

From the Wiki page for Wham’s Make it Big album

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Make_It_Big

The music video for single "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" had the duo in shirts that read Choose Life. It would be the first of several hits from the album. The second single "Careless Whisper" is technically a Wham! song as it appears on the Wham! album Make It Big. However, when released as a single, it was credited either to Wham! featuring George Michael (in North America and several other countries) or solely to George Michael(in the United Kingdom and some European countries) as it became apparent, that at some point in the near future, Michael would be embarking on a solo career.

Toney had a very off day

on paper it looks like a good point

given we were losing at half time it looks like a good point

but the way the game went in the second half, and given that we equalised with half an hour left, it ended up a missed opportunity. they certainly tired as the game went on …. Quite the opposite of the opening game of the season.   Ironic that the coach failed to make enough subs that day in the heat yet he fiddled too much yesterday ….

Brentford have lost 1 home game all season.

Not an easy place to go.

Can’t work out why Rodgers wanted a right winger so bad , because since we got TETE we don’t use the bloke he must be cold standing out there on that right wing with no service.
also why the hell did he bring soumare on he is hopeless , yet we leave mendy sitting on the bench , Rodgers is a moron

We won 1.4 to 0.5 on Xg although I’m struggling to work out how we managed that much Xg …

it was because we had more efforts on goal than them even though they were off target.  First half Barnes wide Daka header wide, shot over the bar.  Brentford 1st half their goal thats about it.  Laughably 2nd half our goal thats about it.
