The language in these press releases absolutely reeks of him saving face, the same as it did after his talks collapsed with Southampton. Not overly concerned at the "rejection", more concerned the board thought he was a viable option for that length of time in the first place. We don't need any more than an interim right now, and if we play tight arses and get some no mark in for X amount of years on the basis they're unemployed, next season has the makings of a bloody tragedy.
