cityfanlee23 Posted 9 April 2023 Share Posted 9 April 2023 At this point i'm just looking at the bookies odds and googling to see if any links have been made by papers. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/adi-hutter-working-on-premier-8318080 Did not realise Hutter had actually admitted he was "working on it" regarding working in the prem. Larry_LCFC Posted 9 April 2023 Share Posted 9 April 2023 What an absolute ****ing mess. Nevermind relegation, we'll be heading for administration when this all goes ****ing tits up and Top bails. I genuinely cannot believe what a ****up the board and owners have made over the past 6 months in particular.

cruzFOX Posted 10 April 2023 Share Posted 10 April 2023 It’s just comical isn’t it? Every day another blunder. How long do we let this bollox continue before we gather outside the KP and demand the board come out and give us some sort of explanation as to what the plan is? I can accept a zero plan and sn apology for screwing up but tell us something stop treating us all like mugs.

Popular Post LaughingOutLoud Posted 10 April 2023 Popular Post Share Posted 10 April 2023 (edited) Well it looks like all the new arrivals to your board will be riding off into the sunset this afternoon. One final thing that cropped up over the weekend, is this idea that a manager buys the players that arrive during his tenure. Come on now. At Leeds for example, we have the clown prince Orta who is our Sporting Director. He is very high profile and very emotional. Underlying his recruitment is the agreement with the Owner, who incidentally will leave in the summer when the SF49ers take over, on what our buying parameters are. That's a huge discussion point in itself. We have targeted players who will add value, possibly over and above the needs of the team. Part of that process has been buying young professionals to feed into our U23s . . . basically giving them bigger contracts than they have been offered at their parent club and offering a first team pathway. Sound strategy of course if indeed that pathway is real. So how does the recruitment work at first team level. Orta asks the manager what positions he needs and then presents a list of players he recommends. Of course, the standard of those players may not be enticing. In Bielsa's final transfer window, January 2022, he was offered Van der Beek, Dele Alii and Winks from Spurs. He turned all three down and the board justified his dismissal as he was 'difficult' to satisfy. Raphinha was the stand out player bought for Bielsa. An excellent bit of scouting and recruitment but the only contributer to the promoted Bielsa team considered a success. The list of players who were not up to scratch far outweighed his impact and in the 46 months in the job, Orta never secured a midfield players for Bielsa. The bottom line is the quality of player required to raise the standard of the team was too high for the owner to afford, an admittance that he did not have the funds to take the next step required to establish the club at PL level. Hence the new ownership this summer. Last summer we recruited using the money we received from Phillips and Raphinha (the owner put in nothing more despite us flirting with relegation). Extremely hit and miss again and we'll judge fully at the end of the season. Gnonto has been the stand out 'bargain'. Marsch chose the 4 Red Bull players: Adams, Krstensen, Aaronson and Wober - the jury is out on all four - but Orta reeled in the others McKennie (on loan with an option/obligation) and Roca for midfield, and Rutter up top. Orta had been chasing all three for a long while. Rutter at 30million has the whiff of early day Joelinton about him. A big question mark will hang over the future of the RB players now Marsch has gone. So, in summary, at our club you cannot always assume and give credit or criticism to the players brought in during a managers tenure. The DoF is making these calls. He also appointed both Bielsa and Marsch, which demonstrates how erratic the recruitment process is. Would very much suspect most PL clubs are run along these lines with varying shades of grey. SK3Blue Posted 10 April 2023 Share Posted 10 April 2023 There's a positive...if Stowell and Sadler remain charge for the remainder, the chances of hearing goal music again are significantly reduced. 1

Claudio Fannieri Posted 10 April 2023 Share Posted 10 April 2023 I really hope the plan is to hire an interim for the remainder of the season and the club to compile 2 lists of potential managers to target for next season depending on which division we end up in. Sly Posted 10 April 2023 Share Posted 10 April 2023 We should have already have had a list, based upon this happening. It’s been coming for months. Just bizarre. I’ve seen better run business on the apprentice. Even then Alan Sugar has gone to fire them.

Le Renard Posted 10 April 2023 Share Posted 10 April 2023 Even the rats try to leave a sinking ship! We are a bit of a joke at the moment, getting allegedly turned down by Jessie Marcsh has got to hurt, and now we are going back for managers that didn't get it in the first place. Sky will have a full-blown documentary on us at the end of the season, it will be comedy gold.
trooky Posted 10 April 2023 Share Posted 10 April 2023 The board have reacted to the fans in firing Rodgers so late, if they didn't have a plan they should have kept Rodgers until the end of the season and then fired him.
