Rudkin

The dismantling of what was a club on the constant up isn't spoken about enough in the media.

FA cup winners, whiskers away from the CL 2x years in a row etc to a club in financial tatters in the space of 3 years should be enough for that man to never work in football again

Some lad called Ross tried it on 606 last week and Savage spent the whole time shouting “he won you the league and FA cup”. Unfortunately this will be Rodgers all over again. Rudkin keeps us where this corrupt league wants us, so any opinion against him will be met with disdain.

We have to do this in the stands and get Top’s attention.

The thing is there's such an easy way out even with all this Thai cultural guff about loyalty and saving face. Just give him a bullshit job that can be framed as a promotion, like Exec Director of King Power Sports Group or something like that.

Then a proper DoF for Leicester can be brought in, and one for Leuven or whatever they need. Rudkin can then piss about doing as he pleases with all the status he wants, he can be in the room for meetings, he can report into the owner, do the horse racing stuff, fine - just with people that know what they're doing on the actual work for our club.

Director of Football for a PL club is a full time job and we should at the very least be demanding he relinquishes his other roles.

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 great post and couldn’t agree more, there is no way KP sack him but moving him away from his current role and bringing in an experienced operator at DoF and straight away the club improves massively.

Leuven are very lucky that this is already the case for them

Rudkin is a board exec there and they have an actual DOF in place

yep, if they're so desperate to save face and keep him in position, give him a different title like chief sporting officer and get in an actual DoF who would report into him but would actually handle the dof duties around recruitment and long term planning

Having a new DoF that reports to him is not going to work.  Scouting and Recruitment needs a complete fresh change with zero interference from JR.

well yes, but that's as likely to happen as Margot Robbie knocking on my door this evening and asking to spend the night with me. "Promoting" Rudkin and putting a buffer between him and recruitment is more achievable and would be an improvement

I know someone who’s had dealings with him, and he said he’s a ****.

Tbf Im not sure that football agents are necessarily the best judges of good character

But that said there are probably a number of players for whom the club has proven to be an Old Trafford-style graveyard: Kramaric; Praet; Perez; Soumare; Soyuncu; Benkovic; Cannon; Ward; Souttar; Ghezzal; Vestergaard (almost) ; Silva; Daka; Papa Mendy,  to name just a few.

Some were never good enough- but some saw their careers wither away and no doubt blame the club for persuading them to join.

Add in the Mahrez gentleman’s release clause, fiasco, the Silva fax farce and the shameful treatment of Kasper and its a wonder anyone ever agrees to come.

That’s papering over the cracks. Top needs to grow some balls and we need to ban anymore signings of players over 30 years old.

Questions need to be asked about the Okoli signing. Huge outlay on a player who is currently third choice and probably fourth choice when Coady is fit.

They're all after king powers millions since Vichai passed away and they know Top's just a playboy who hasn't got a clue on finances and how to over see how the clubs run. So many dubious transactions going on Soutter, Coady, Okoli, VK. Sourmare etc etc

He is probably no better than Nelson, but yup splash 15m on him and Nelson goes further down the pecking order.

We need to be developing talent regardless of the league.

at Prem level you need goals we could have used this money for Szmodics who will score 15+ this season and if we did get relegated he could get us back up, no idea what is going on tbh

leuven went out and targeted one this summer. Showing some benefits. So it’s not like KP don’t know the format of such a set up

And he opened his account yesterday, and what a goal it was. Exactly what we are missing. Those who were adamant we shouldn’t sign him should have a word with thereselves. Showed more desire and hunger to drag his team through in one move than many of our players have in 2 full games.

Those saying he was too old etc are slightly quieter now and also Ayew has firmly showed it’s not the case in management thinking but why o why we never went for him and greaves over Okoli and Ayew I will never know - Ipswich have far more chance of surviving than we do but some of the decisions

KdH, Ndidi, Vesty, Ayew, Okoli, Skipp, BCDR…….on top of cooper has to be the worst preseason since we had Peter taylor here - dreadful and sadly it will cost us as there is no way we are staying up with this squad and management plan but worst of all we won’t even have a chance come the January window imo as it will be long over !

He'll be starting soon. If not on the bench for a little while but he will be in the team for the second part of the season

Stick with Rudkin, Whelan and Top and we are going to end up like Leeds, Sunderland and Blackburn.....spending years in the championship

If Top removes Rudkin, that will be a positive start to turning things around.
