That's an exaggeration but even if it were true, ours is buy a player for £30m and keep until they leave for free. Spell binding.

Actually it was £34m purchase and £2.6m sale, of Anderson to Lazio. We got more for Slimani’s loan deals.

And is he to blame for Vestergaard turning down a move because Rodgers blew smoke up his arse about being involved, and then didn’t want him… again. See also what Carrol said about Rodgers.

Again, you've chosen one deal. Perez £30m and left on a free less the nominal loan fee in Jan. Similar deal perhaps to Anderson in the sense they were 1st team integral players for a few years, didn't cash in when they're importance lessened until their contracts nearly expired and got a nominal fee.

Funnily enough that's the only fees we have got in 4 seasons, for Diabate, Ghezzal, Gray, Kasper etc. West Ham, Everton, Wolves, Villa etc have done far better in that regard. But go on, keep holding the line on Rudkin and Co. THOU SHALL NOT PASS.

No he's not, except for the wage structure once again. Bloke came here on about 75 bags a week and although he claims its not about the money, is laughable.

The difficulty in moving said players on is the salaries our players are on, Rudkin's remit.

You sure that's the problem considering they've all just had huge pay decreases and nobody wants them still?

Somebody bid for him did they?

If you "cash in" for an utterly pointless amount, you still have to buy a replacement, we weren't in a position to buy replacements in the summer.

Still on big money. Ndidi, Praet, Soumare, Iheanacho likely still on £60k a week and more than interested clubs outside the PL would ordinarily pay.

We were repeatedly told last summer we had to move players on, we moved Schmeichel and Fofana on. Turned down bids for Soumare, Praet, Castagne and Iheanacho. Accepted a bid for Vestergaard who rejected it.

The decline and malaise in part was unmotivated players. A mix of Rodgers still being here and losing effectiveness and players no longer wanting to be here but we rejected bids etc.

You have to freshen up the squad, regardless of if we lose money on players. We lose money on players anyway and it can be much more detrimental as we have seen that some of them are made to stay here.

Which is what? Buying a player for £30m and selling him for £3m... transfer genius at work right there.

If you know they aren’t going to play, would you rather pay their wages and let their contracts run down which results in getting no fee to save the embarrassment of awful business in the first place?

I would rather get £3m than nothing.

From todays Percy article.

Laugh or you'll cry.

It's so unbelievably stupid you wonder if he's just put that in to stir things up. But then this is the same hierarchy that oversaw last season so probably not.

Top would sooner sell up than get rid of Rudkin I reckon. The most we can hope for is that his power gets diluted but if the opposite is happening despite the omnishambles he's overseen over the past couple of years then that is pretty alarming stuff
