Disastrous result. Too many players are happy taking the money and are well past their best.  No way back for the club. A complete rebuild in the summer. I remember Ndidi was up there as one of our most important players but he is sadly just a shadow 9f the player he once was.

 

Those at the top have messed up in keeping BR in charge too long, handing massive contracts to players not worth it which subsequently led to us not buying last summer. A sad day.

Lots of effort and endeavour and that second yellow for barnes was soft. But we didn’t have enough offensively and Maddison couldn’t get into the game. Castagne was getting too far adrift of the wide attacker and we were just too slow in making the changes. A bit of a replay from the game on Saturday in that respect. We should have got Ricardo in earlier. The double pivot gave us extra steel in the centre but at times we got in each others way and it detracted from the attacking intent. Lots of effort just very sad that we couldn’t get over the line. Shame

i quite liked league one. 

this flyweight team will get fed its own bollocks in the champo, so i think we need to get used to the idea of 2 steps backward in order to rebuild. along with the financial implosion that will ensue from being overleveraged versus future income.

we will need a manager who can preside over a fire sale and bring in a new ethos to get us promoted again, becuase maddison, barnes, castagne, kristiansen, kdh, tielemans, iheanacho, daka will all be gooooooone....

That was a team who doesn’t deserve to be in this league. We’ve watched them over the last few years (under Rodgers we’d usually give them a gift). We were not even second best today.

Shocking miss by Souttar. Brain dead from KDH (not surprising as it sums him up.) Brain dead by Ndidi. 3 moments of either sheer stupidity or lack of quality. Other than that we were okay. That's us relegated in my mind now though and we deserve every little bit of it.

Oh come on lads, we were miles better than we have been. Way more up for it, more energetic, more direct. Stupidity from KDH and Ndidi cost us, otherwise we were well worth a point against a good side.

We played some good attacking football at times. There were periods they had the better of us, but it wasn't either times they scored. The second goal was a very unfortunate mistake.
