Molson Canadian Posted 10 April 2023 Share Posted 10 April 2023 Maybe we can get Robert Huth our loans manager back on the pitch for some training sessions for the defenders. Maybe even get him to do some free kick training with the lads….

"Unfortunately no," came the reply. "When I left Villa, that was the aim. I won't be managing or coaching in the future." It's only till the end of the season, think he will be up for it. Sunbury Fox Posted 10 April 2023 Share Posted 10 April 2023 I don't think Terry went to Norwich with Smith, did he? Think he was hoping to get a job as a manager himself at the time.

HankMarvin Posted 10 April 2023 Share Posted 10 April 2023 I’d take Terry at least he might be helpful to the defenders and he is too strong a personality to bow down to the big personality/s in the first team

Silva Fox Posted 10 April 2023 Share Posted 10 April 2023 Underwhelming but realistically as good as an outcome as we can expect given the circumstances the Board have created. Time to rally round and give them a chance but if we still drop (as seems most likely) hopefully they'll be looking at other/better options for a promotion campaign. Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 10 April 2023 Share Posted 10 April 2023 I get a feeling this could just work. Simply because it's about balls rather than football to an extent now.

EastAnglianFox Posted 10 April 2023 Share Posted 10 April 2023 Never thought id say this, but John Terry coming in could be some of the most shrewd recruitment we have seen from this club in a fair few seasons. Think Madders will love trying to impress him and the knowledge he can put into our awful back 4 absolutely priceless

He saved us from relegation in the PL and got us promoted. He has his failings but he is a decent manager and coach and he comes across as a nice guy and is very honest in interviews. He will be a breath of fresh air compared to BR 9
STUHILL Posted 10 April 2023 Share Posted 10 April 2023 (edited) Don't like Terry, but I think our defenders will certainly listen to him and respect him for what he has achieved. Right up until he shags their Mrs that is. Hopefully he can hold off until game 6 or 7 Edited 10 April 2023 by STUHILL
