Dean Smith New Interim Manager - Official

Recommended Posts

Guy talks sense post match which is refreshing:-

A lot of the goals we have given away, loking back at them, have been individual mistakes. From then up until the penalty their movement was sharper and brighter than ours. We played the ball into the space at last and Vards has done done brilliantly to win the penalty. We created the big chances in the second half

On the winning goal: "It was a really good move, it was a great cut back and our left-back crossing for our right-back in the penalty box. We dropped off too deep but defended our box really well.

Was at the game today, that line up was something you'd see in a Pearson team but it worked wonders.

Bringing on an extra midfileder second half helped us to control the game more but what a goal that was.

Definitely more progressive, I'd like to see us keep the ball better at times but not at the expense of creating chances.

Really pleased for Dean, Shakey and JT. Actually resembled a football team!

Hopefully kick starts a little run!

The football team was always here. We have a decent and big squad. Let’s not forget if Rodgers didn’t coach them into lesser players, we would still have Albrighton and Perez. Today was a game that Perez could have flourished in place of Daka. He cannot play lone striker nor on the wing. But with the attacking lineup and more players around him, he would have linked up well with Nachos and Vardy.

Always said we have a very good squad. Just needed to select the right players and play positively. Under Rodgers we regularly leave good players like Nacho on the bench so we can play an extra mediocre defender or defenders while Soyuncu sits on the bench.

Would be nice if he can start leaving a player or 2 up the pitch when we are defending corners. Not picking really, they've done well to turn it around. The manc game was a roll of the dice and see who they have and what they offer.

Beat Leeds and watch us flourish.

Corners only occur occasionally. But high balls happen very often. Would be nice if players can be told to head it down to a teammate or even to trap it themselves instead of always head it up aimlessly and turn over possession. Contrast Wolves today: they tried to head to a teammate everytime.
