That’s a shocking decision by whoever has made it if Nathan Lyon comes out to bat, the bloke can hardly walk - he’s not going to do anything other than make his injury worse and eat up some time.

He can’t run, as shown there, he is just wasting everyone’s time here and risking making a bad injury even worse.

Are they thinking that 360 is not enough or trying to limit England's time in the match? That shows something of a psychological effect there.

First, try to make sure you can't lose.

Then - try to win.

If that's true (and it probably is), then they must think England could make 360+ in the time they have, so they are intimidated enough to risk the health of an already limping bowler to add a few more runs.
