As an aside, selecting Woakes and Wood was a masterstroke.

 

Tongue in for Robinson, Foakes in for Moeen next Test, do without a spinner or just use Root IMO.

Wholesale changes whilst our tails are up would indicate a much more aggressive approach as a team, which is how they want us to appear.

Let's have it right, that would have been a shambles to lose in that position. Hope we're not too smug about snatching a victory after nearly throwing it away. Good to peg them back, but there needs to be some balls shown in selection for the next one. If Bairstowe is anywhere near the team then they're asking for trouble.

 

Wood seems like a top boy. Absolute demon bowler and scores better than most of our top order.
