Liverpool (H) | Mon 15-May | 20:00 KO Sky Sports - Pre-match thread

Istanbul is Ok but the seats are like park benches need to be comfy when eating in especially with what is to follow just down the road.

Not sure Liverpool needed to actually train to be playing us just turning up will probably be enough

"Tonight's visit of Liverpool represents another vital game in our fight to stay in the Premier League, a fight that has already had unexpected twists and turns and may yet have one or two still to come. It's a big challenge against a strong team who themselves have a lot to play for, but we must stand and fight together for the result that we need. Until the very end.

"Not for the first time in recent weeks, playing on a Monday night means the context of the match round has been set by our rivals playing before us and we know what needs to be done in order to boost our position in the fight. Ultimately, however, I feel sure our fate will be determined by our own actions in these final three games and we must only look to ourselves to get the points we need to get over the line.

"The scale of the challenge tonight and the value of the points at stake is very clear, which creates the potential for a truly special night under the lights if we can produce the kind of result we need. It won't be easy and we will have to be ready to stand and fight, players, staff, and supporters, with everything we have. But everything is possible if we all believe."

Words about ‘fight’ ringing fairly hollow at this point.

Teleportation?

Curing cancer?

Ending world hunger?

No, Top, everything is not possible with belief. Some things like staying in the top flight require the combination of ability, desire and consistency of effort. One doesn't send people to the Moon by just wanting to a really lot.

Fans, let’s really sign your hearts out to support your team for a miracle. No use with booing. This is against Liverpool and it is not going to be easy, so they need all the support we can provide.

Not sure about signing my Heart out, even for a miracle like Leicester winning but will definitely be "singing" my Heart out, for a win.

Team is

Castagne

Soumare

Tielemans

If that's the team we're ****ed. Midfield a disaster zone again

Could do with some of the headbangers on the match thread toning it down. We start from the pit lane in this one and even if we lose , we need to show the resolve necessary to be competitive in the last two winnable matches. Slamming into individuals is repetitively unhelpful and boring.

The support has ALWAYS been strong.

The players do not give a **** about the club or fans.

I'm hearing Soyoncu has picked up an injury and won't be available tonight. :(

Tell him he’ll be out for two years and offer him a five year deal.

Good luck tonight lads and lasses. You can take it for granted that all NUFC fans are with you on this one.

I've just had a thought. You beat Liverpool tonight, we beat Brighton on Thursday and you can have the win at our place as we'll not need the points.

we’re not falling for that. you didn’t need the points in 2021 but still spanked us.
