You'd hope this would mobilize their support into protest.

You would hope more that the police refer the matter to the CPS and football bodies finally stop letting any random d1ckhead take over football clubs

The ref didn't have a good game did he?

Disappointing night really.

I don't think he had any option for the red card. Cookie kicked him.

Stamford were neat and tidy but didn't have much attacking threat. Coalville were unlucky to lose and Wes York hobbling at HT compounds the misery.

We need another CM badly.

Have Mickleover got some sugar daddy running them, just a surprise no ones poached their players. Not the biggest football club at this level only attract just over 200 supporters. Though someone I know at Telford, claims their manager is being lined up to replace Wilkin at Telford.

Really surprising to me how badly Wilkin is doing, he's had enough time to build his own squad.

Mickleover had an excellent start to the 2020-21 covid season and were top of the Northern Premier before it got derailed.

I've always thought McGrath to be a quality manager.

I agree, don’t think the ref was particularly bad and although it was a poor game Coalville were unfortunate to loose. Draw probably the right result, can see why Stamford are doing ok - there captain bossed the midfield.

We are desperate for some more players.

York and Berridge going off injured and presume Chambers is injured as well as wasn’t named In squad. Cook suspended for 3 games, don’t think Thanoj and Hutchins are fully fit either.

I didn't catch if it was a red or not, I was referring to the corner that they scored from that was a blatant goal kick and just his general performance.

I thought Stamford looked fairly tidy but you can tell Coalville were not at their best.

Towers still playing is outrageous really

I dig out Doyle Charles a fair bit but he's being screwed a bit with a lack of options tbh.

Hope Tamworth are focussing on the league but I doubt they will go weak as FA Cup is always useful to clubs at these levels. Could be a really bad day on Saturday.

The King of Caravans owns them!

Went to Kettering's 4v0 loss to Hitchin last night. Terrible stuff. The fourth goal: ball over the top of the defence, keeper rashly rushes out, it bounces over his head, striker (just about) taps it in. Sunday league stuff. Kettering in big trouble this year imo

Andy Leese seems to think that continually doing the same thing will produce different results - with the addition of more shouting.

Started the season with a squad of four, augmented it with wasters no one else wanted, added in a dose of 4-4-2 nonsense - the man needs booting.

Looking bleak for scunthorpe.

Club update - News - Scunthorpe United (scunthorpe-united.co.uk)

Quote

The club Owner and Chairman has recently notified the Board of Directors of his decision to withdraw his funding from the club moving forward.

He has also notified them that he feels his position at the club is untenable, and is actively seeking a way out. Based on this information, both Ian Dawson and Tahina Akther have decided to resign from their positions with immediate affect.

We can confirm that numerous parties have made contact with the club with a view to taking over, but faced with stadium issues, numerous litigation proceedings and winding up petitions no potential purchasers are looking to move forward. This includes the consortium of local business people and supporters.

The Chairman and remaining board members have now set out a plan in order to very quickly make the club sustainable.

An outside company will be bought in to work closely with the club's creditors to try and ensure all are paid in a timely and professional manner.

The club will vacate Glanford Park after the Brackley Town fixture and fulfill the season's fixtures across at Gainsborough Trinity. This is not a day-to-day cost cutting exercise. This is due to Coolsilk refusing to engage with the club and demanding vacant possession before they will begin to do so.
This is also due to the risk the club faces of being liable for hundreds of thousands of pounds in legal fees and back dated market rent, along with significant monthly legal costs of our own that will certainly impact any attempts to create sustainability. In any case, Coolsilk own the property and will undoubtedly get possession back at some point, and therefore it is no longer viable without the financial support of the Chairman to put the club at risk with such a gamble to merely guarantee a few extra months at the stadium.

The club can confirm that Chairman David Hilton is under investigation by the FA for matters that were reported to them by The Athletic prior to releasing their article. Documentation is being provided to the FA in order to evidence the validity of his ownership rights and expect it to be concluded imminently.

Finally, numerous fake club statements and messages have been circulating in recent days. We can confirm that no investigation is currently taking place to our knowledge and that all of the material is completely fake. We are appalled by its content.

Moving forward, the club can progress and challenge for promotion as originally planned. The playing side can be left relatively untouched and the debts cleared, but it will require supporters, sponsors and the community to be patient and continue to support the club the way they have done over the last few months.

Falls in attendances will undoubtedly mean further cuts and this will inevitably impact the playing squad and promotion aims.

We hope that the support continues regardless of how uncomfortable some of the decisions feel or the inconvenience those decisions will cause.

I fancied watching Hitchin Town v Kettering Town (FA Cup Q3) on Saturday.

But apparently Hitchin don't do any pay-on-the day.   No sir, absolutely not.      It has to be tickets bought in advance over the internet.

And of course you need an account:   name, address, Email, Date of Birth, Mobile number, blood group, DNA sample, penis size, ...     (ok I made the last 3 up!).

That's a few £ of mine they won't be getting.

But since when did non-league clubs start acting like Premier League tossers?    This is the first time I've come across this in years of non-league wanderings.
