And then have to rip the entire thing up if they get promoted.

Obviously not an issue for Kettering currently

That’s a couple of high spending teams a year vs the long term health of all the others. So, yeh, boo hoo for the Notts Countys and Wrexhams that’d have to relay their pitches.

End seems near for nuneaton borough. Apparently the interested new owners cant seem to agree a deal to buy the ground back. The landlords Apparently is prepared to listen to offers... but for some reason not to Boro. Assistant as now resigned. People may laugh but sad for a lot of loyal supporters ones who have been devoted there life to the club. For some it is great for the wellbeing and mental health. A reformed club looks pointless considering theres no ground to play at Nuneaton. Nuneaton Griff looking to be soon the only club in town.

It’s sad for the genuine supporters but the club have bought it on themselves.

Apparently already been explored club cant play at the nuneaton griff. Ground grading etc.. plus its council owned. They dont wanna work with boro

Do what the likes of AFC Hinckley, Atherstone, Ilkeston, Bury, Worcester and Bromsgrove have done.

Reform at Step 6 and work it back up. Play the Pringes for at least two years. Bit by bit.

So many of these reformed clubs as soon as a wealthy person comes in the same old problems happen.  Nuneaton have already disbanded, reformed, liquidated and reformed again.

If it’s a continuity club it’ll have to be step 6 highest anyway, if it means playing out of town (which Hinckley have had to do since inception) then there’s local options available. I can’t imagine a new Nuneaton club would lack for backers and cash at that level.

I’d be extremely disappointed if Nuneaton pack up shop entirely in the event they go bust. I wouldn’t expect it either.

Some supporters are wary about a phoenix club.  A cic was setup just in case club were to fold, guess whose in charge of that?... jimmy Ginnelly so basically hed be back running a newly formed club with the same people that put us in the mess.

A merger with Nuneaton Griff would make better sense.

So set-up another club - supporters with Nuneaton have so benign that this situation has arisen.

If they get going now, they'd be good to get a league slot in the pyramid. Miss out and they'd have to do what Rushden did, have a season of youth football.

Very sad day indeed but was impossible to continue. Gutted! Traditional non league club gone. What does the future hold? I don't know. Unlike last time Boro went bust we had a ground and foundations to restart this time round we have no home. Can't see the point in forming another club without playing in your hometown, notice in the coming months Nuneaton Griff's attendance rise.

Hinckley AFC and Hinckley Leicester Road is exactly that situation. Supporters still made it happen.

Nuneaton is far larger with better resources. If they can’t make it work it’s unfortunately on them.

the body ain’t cold and Kettering have signed Nuneaton’s goalie

The one position on the pitch that didn’t really need an urgent improvement.

Plus coming on the back of a depressing financial statement, I’m completely confused as to how it is affordable.

Decent keeper, some good players available now. Cam McWilliams is easily good enough to play in the national league north.

I’d like to see Coalville in for Cam if they have the budget. Probably go to the national north though , like you say.

Would you like to swap for a 39 year old striker that didn't need signing? :D

Given we’ve had a succession of them this season who rarely manage a strike on target, I’d say yes. 😁

Anoher pitch inspection at Coalville today.

It will be off if the decision is being made at 11.15. Needs to be done around 2 to give the game a chance of being on.

I know they don’t want Stourbridge to travel unnecessarily but trying to get the game on should come 1st.
