Manager for the Championship rebuild - who do you want?

In no particular order:

Steven Gerrard - Didn’t have a great time with Villa but did a great job with Rangers. Would do a job in the championship.

Benitez - Experienced and got a similarly poor Newcastle promoted with the likes of Dwight Gayle up front.

Michael Carrick - Unproven over a longer period of time but has done wonders with Boro.

Kasper Schmeicel - Obviously an outside of the box choice but who knows the club better?

Take the first two not the latter two - carrick wouldn’t come and KS would not know where to start here even though if he had not left we would not have gone down!

I’d take Lampard, had a good run with Derby in the Championship, laid the foundations for Chelsea to win the champions league.

Never really stood a chance with Everton and just joined the list of destroyed managers. Probably shouldn’t have gone back to Chelsea who seem to be all over the shop at the moment.

would certainly have the relationship with quality players we need to attract to get straight back out of the champ.

Who is Mattias Jaissle, and why is everyone getting a roddy over him

He's a young up and coming German coach who manages Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga who are currently at the top of their league....his likes his team to play attack minded football with his side scoring lots of goals.

Past few weeks Sunderland, Eintracht Frankfurt and Monaco have shown an interest in him as their new coach

Smith is meeting Top tomorrow and as the board seemimgly didn't think relegation would happen i very much doubt they have a manager lined up. Smith will stay in charge

I feel Smith will get the job also, he will sweet talk Top.

Not sure about Gerrard. People say it was really Michael Beale who was the brains of the operation. As soon as he left Villa struggled.

Whereas Beale had QPR top of the Championship till Rangers took him.
