Premier League Thread 2023/2024

Spurs are doing well at the minute but it’s early doors and man city haven’t got going yet and injury to son or madders and they could struggle. Been pretty lucky in a few games as well and luck  won’t last all season .  Chelsea as bad as they can be could get something from them and villa in a few games time could be tricky.

Man City were fine until Rodri got injured, then they had their bad spell with Haaland having a mini drought. Rodri's back now though and they seem to be getting going again.

like us selling them Barnes, bar Mahrez & Kante every big sale has been crooked .

Barnes - Injury Prone

Chilwell - Injunry Prone

Fofona - Injury Prone

Drinkwater -failure

Maguire - daily light robbery.

Thing is they knew about the injury records and still went for those players, Fofana signing was madness from Chelsea. So eager to get it done, but put zero thought into it.

In the grand scheme of things Drinkwater is a drop in the ocean to Chelsea, he filled a home grown spot in the squad and he's the only one to lose really.

With Maguire they knew what they were buying, he'd been good for us, but they again gave zero thought if that would match their style. We didn't rinse them, they knew they were buying a decent player in the right system, they just didn't think if it was their system or not.

But Milan, they knew Tonali was under investigation, and so did Tonali and his representatives. Milan are under no obligation to tell Newcastle and Newcastle didn't check properly, so have really caught them out. Milan did nothing wrong but they knew what they were doing in making a quick sale and a lower than expected price.

Hodgson has gone a bit Rodgers-esque.

Bought on subs last night who were younger/inexperienced, then castigated them saying the squad was 'weaker' and that they did nothing.

Like it was some statement to the board to invest in the squad, but also demoralise the youngsters that came on in the process...

Sounds like more VAR confusion in Bournemouth vs Burnley.

Green line on for onside but decision still not finalised lol

Coote saw a different angle then ruled it out apparently.

VAR in this country is just a shambles. It's like watching absolute morons trying to work a nuclear reactor.

On Soccer Saturday, Mike Dean seemed to say that the initial line showing onside wasn't drawn in the correct place.

5 minutes to confirm the on-field officials got it right.

Trouble was they got it wrong originally.
