I still don’t think enough respect was put on us for reaching the quarter final of the Champions league.

Far smaller depth of squad than Newcastle’s at a fraction of the cost.

Granted they had heck of a group to get drawn in.

Or the League win

Newcastle looks spent, so many big matches in a row but decimated with injuries.

Bournemouth are a bit like Nottingham Forest in that they'll survive based on being not as shite as the three  promoted teams, but with zero feeling of ' shame to see them go' when they eventually go down.

At least teams like West Brom had a bit of character when they were in the premier league.

Toon fans are stupid, two years ago rock bottom of the premier league with no wins. Now sitting sixth and in the champions league and yet still abuse players... seriously

Hmm. Sounds very familiar….

They actually played some good football last night, seem a more exciting team under the new manager, soon as they scored Newcastle crumbled.

Newcastle fans crying because they thought they would be the new Man City straight away and it hasn’t happened . And is there some thing being put in place so teams like them won’t be able to loan players from the Saudi league if they are the same owners? Won’t be getting easy loan deals that way now.

I think that was more of Newcastle looking absolutely spent from injuries and fixture backlog and more space being available as a result.

Newcastle looked very, very fatigued. Lost lots of players and barely laid a glove on Bournemouth.

brighton have been the same in recent weeks.

It really wasn’t just pure mismanagement that we dropped off in the seasons we were in europe. It’s a tough ask for smaller sides.
