In any other industry, the board would have been sacked a long time ago. This idea of buying players like a kid would buy sweets shows the pitfalls of not building something. It’s ALWAYS essential to get the building blocks right. eg Man Utd finally look like they are going in the right direction, at least ON the pitch.
