West Ham were dreadful in the league last year, 14th with that squad is awful.

2021/22 season our successes in Europe (of which we ultimately bottled and threw away) excused a bad League campaign.

West Ham were actually successful in Europe last season and could legitimately be excused for a poor League campaign.

Who excused it? Plenty wanted Rodgers gone back then.

Even with Europe, West Ham have a top half squad.

Plenty may have wanted him gone, i'd say they were in a minority though, with more than plenty excusing it.

Everton should have dropped last season ( Rodgers says hi!) and the one before that (again we helped them)

Teams that circle the drain always go at some point look at Villa and Sunderland

And invariably either keep dropping or take years to return. A losing mentality or lack of ambition is seldom shaken off quickly.

Our “success” in Europe was down to us failing in a group stage that contained two awful sides in Spartak Moscow and Legia

West Ham at least won the conference league from the start not entering because of failure

De zerbi got his clock cleaned by moyesy in the day. They went with plan A and nothing else and hammers just sat back and hit them on the break. It was a masterclass in counter attack kinda like us in 2016.

Have to give credit where credit is due.

Hope Forest's luck has run out this year - their 2 goals yesterday were v lucky and nearly propelled them to a draw

I have this unpleasant feeling that they'll sack Cooper by Christmas, Dyche will walk from Everton at around the same time before going to Forest and keeping them up.
