We're level on points with Ipswich so it will be the same focus as us. Definitely don't won't Leeds getting closer to the top two.

Currently. Win our next two and we're on 58. Ipswich lose v Leeds and they're on 52. Leeds win today and v Ipswich and they're on 47. We're not talking getting closer to us, we're talking Ipswich taking a huge confidence knock right before we play them and getting drawn into the playoff scrap

They are though, aren’t they?

No. Take last season. At the half way point of last season Spurs were 11 points off the top of the prem and we were 11 points behind Liverpool. Spurs were never getting into a title challenge and we were never getting close to Liverpool.

Not quite comparable? Leeds have a squad and budget for this level that very clearly makes them direct rivals – not to mention their…current league position? Them dropping points is objectively good, you’re normally a very sensible poster and I agree with a lot of what you post but to dismiss them as rivals (for what it’s worth I don’t think they’re catching us either) and to say that them winning is “good” are both 24 carat pieces of nonsense.

Win on Monday and at home to Rotherham as we should and we are at a minimum 11 clear of Leeds after half a season. They're not rivals

That’s just a really silly comment when we’re not yet even half way through the season.

The vagaries of form, injuries, activity in the January transfer market could all change the situation and any lead could disappear quickly

Leeds drew.. beat bham and the gaps 13... huge that

Plus Ipswich play Leeds next week, meaning one or both of 2nd and 3rd will lose ground while we play Rotherham at home.
