Would it be fair to say Farke is failing at Leeds currently? I know it’s funny to laugh at them but he should be doing better with that squad

There are a few posters on here who constantly big up Leeds and did so even in the Jesse Marche days. Even recently saying they were going to run away with it and they couldn’t see us hanging on.

To be only 3 points ahead of West Brom is complete failure on Farke’s part. Complete failure. They are in a rut, and if I was a supporter I would be really worried about who wants out in January.

Don’t rate Farke anyhow. Relegation specialist.

Yes but there are few serious calls for him to go on the mot forum curiously.

Leeds have definitely found top gear in a couple matches, whereas I don't think we have, there 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears are way below ours. Hopefully we can find that top gear like Leeds did In the Ipswich home fixture.

There are sometimes fine lines between success and failure.

Usually you’d expect promotion form to be 2 points per game. On that basis Leeds should be on 50 points, which would currently be 4th place. That’s where they are albeit with 45 points. It doesn’t help that we’re currently motoring along at 62 points and that two other sides are averaging more than 2 points a game.

There is also a danger of going too early. There were so many writing off Southampton and Russell Martin off after only a handful of games, although the worry for Leeds is their form isn’t on the right trajectory

Leeds are going to be under massive pressure now just for second place and to be in a fight for the with ipswich and Southampton who seem to just keep picking up points is going to be tough for them. Birmingham and Cardiff games they can not afford to drop points . Be interesting to see if any players jump ship in jan now they look like they could miss out on automatic promotion. Ipswich could be out of 2nd place by time we play them if there little blip carries on. Crazy how consistent we have been this season picking up wins even if we haven’t been playing as we can

They started off by using the ‘the first month was a shambles and DF didn’t know who would be in his squad’. Leeds fans only ever look inwards, it’s as if other clubs don’t face the issues they face. They even have a saying for it ‘Leeds that’. Because anything negative only happens to Leeds Utd.

Genuinely one of the most deluded fan bases in the country. I really hope they rot in the football league for another decade.

Looks like Ipswich's luck is running out. That being said a stonewall handball penalty wasn't given for QPR last night so the streak continues.

I was thinking they're falling off even with the unreal luck propping them up, if the luck runs out as well they can kiss top 2 goodbye.

2 definite penalties in 2 games that would have seen them lose games. I would say the luck i very much still there.

Yeah the pressure on Leeds going into games is now enormous. Ipswich starting to wobble but it’s Southampton who look like capitalising. You could tell a few games ago Leeds looking rattled

One win in five is terrible for a squad like that. They'll need a near perfect run of 10 games just to close the gap on Ipswich/Southampton.

I’m less worried about Ipswich since we played them.

There is no doubt they’re a decent team, but they’re an “effort” team and don’t play with the same level of control that say we or Southampton do. I can’t help think they’ll burn themselves out at some point and the results won’t come as consistently.

I could be wrong though as I still think that Leeds should be a lot closer to us with the players at their disposal

He's failing by not rotating his squad enough.

You can't play with the up & at 'em, high intensity style without making changes.

Some complain at our 1st half careful approach, but it's working. Keep the ball, probe, try again & again.

Teams can't chase all game.

I don’t think Farke is ‘completely failing’ there. Up until last weekend, they had points to games that would normally be top (and Southampton also). It was us and Ipswich setting the 2 best ever starts that meant they were both outside the top 2. So you could argue he was doing a job that would normally be enough to be top 2.

That said, should the squad he has have been better than that sort of points total regardless? Maybe.

And the last week has shown why they won’t do it. Quite literally one step forward, two back. On balance, probably now underperforming.

Good for us that they have fallen away though. At 17 points plus superior goal difference, you really can’t see them catching us in any scenario now.
