Not the fans not the players and behind the scenes I’m sure Enzo doesn’t either want our lead to disappear now. We are too close to the end of the road to fall apart.

gotta hold it together and then fall apart in the summer lol once we’ve been promoted.

I'm half joking of course as that could also happen. Like Enzo said we can only control the outcome of these next 10 games now.

its make or break time. Screw everything else including our board who’ve made matters worse with this FFP hassle.

lets see what these boys are really made of!

leeds, Ipswich & Southampton catch us if you can! REAL FOXES ARE FEARLESS! :chant::trumpet::scarf:

I am on this with you, because competing in a league even when others are also knocking clumps off each other…This is what competition is all about..in our

British way,in Benny Hill fashion, time to stand up and go for it…

I believe Enzo has proved himself….Does he have character and strength to haul

his squad through the mental disciplines ,

need to take this seasons last challenges.:trumpet::cheers::scarf:

Really fear we'll pay for gift-wrapping these three points. We went 12 clear of them with a win there.

….and we’d be sat here actively wanting the points deduction to be this season, rather than next.

Maybe, maybe not.

Leeds were as poor v Stoke as we were v Sunderland.

Lots of twists & turns yet.

If we win tomorrow, that will be a huge result, not defining, but will send out a massage, after a difficult week off the field.

Keep the faith.

I have a massage after a difficult week…not always happy ending.

Not a chance in hell we would of beat Sheff  Wednesday at their place tonight

I think we probably elwould have done, they were a bit shit. The only good periods they had were because its a Derby.

Stop worrying about what everyone else is doing, yes it’s brilliant when they lose or drop points, but ultimately it’s all in our hands.

With Vestergaard and Ndidi back, we are an infinitely better team, add Ricardo after the break and if they all stay fit, we win all 9 games after the break.

Bed wetters out tonight thinking we’ve lost the league with a 2 point gap with a game in hand with 10 (yes 10!) games to go.

if the players had the same mentality as some of this forum we’d be mid table mediocrity every season.

I think if the players had the mentality that they need to work harder to win games, killer instinct

2nd 3rd goal etc, we would still have the bigger points gap, you disagree with that?

I don't know how we work harder. We've had about 80 shots in the last 4 games, we've got by some distance the best away record in the division and have scored 7 or 8 more goals than any other team on our travels.

Despite goals coming from all over the pitch this season we need more from midfield. If the wingers are marked up, Daka misfiring or whatever then the 6s and 8s need to chip in instead.

They aren't playing better than we are. Two weeks ago we outclassed them to the point of embarrassment, in terms of the eye test.

However, they just know to power on and hang on in there, unlike us

There's no harm in being realistic.  Of course they're playing better than we are.  In their last 12 matches they have 11 wins and a draw, and a cumulative score of 26-3.  They went in away against a side with four straight wins and handled them with no problem at all.  They're on one of the most impressive runs in the Championship for a long time.

Fortunately their playing better than us doesn't change the fact that we're still 2 points clear of them, with a game in-hand.  And that nobody cares who wins this league, it's all about finishing in the top two.  We should focus on that, but there's no point in denying what's patently obvious.

Note the words you used 'were' and 'werent' past tense.

Yeah people see Leeds win a few forgetting how bad they can actually be. Yet we lose a couple and we're the worst of the top 4

Yeah its all about 2 games, not the many others we have looked unconvincing.

But seriously, you forgotten momentum is a big thing in football, 11 wins in 12.

Presuming you haven't actually watched much of Leeds, looked unconvincing against Huddersfield last weekend and Stoke in the week.

Leeds are winning games even if they play poorly. They’ve been on a remarkable run of form since Christmas and they are clearly at this time the most in form in the league.

We had a fairly decent Christmas, and since then our form has been a bit erratic. Three defeats in a row has been catastrophic in terms of the ground lost, but now we’ve had a major media fall out to deal with as well.

Our problem is from top to bottom is we’re weak, and there’s a very strong chance this revelation about FFP could completely derail us.

Leeds have grit as do Ipswich. We’re in a very vulnerable position, now and are required to maintain a near perfect record to keep Leeds and Ipswich at bay.

Many people have said “but neither of them will win all of their games” maybe not, but maybe they will? Leeds are capable of it, and Ipswich who were supposed to fall away are gaining momentum again.

This is a huge moment in this season, possibly larger than a lot of people think, because we need a good performance and result to take some of the attention off the negativity going on off the field.

But can we?

So when Leeds get a shit win it's because their grinding out results when playing poorly, but when we do against Sunderland it's poor? Pretty sure you just move on to your next negative thing once your last one doesn't come to fruition. Like we won't get a point in our next 3, we then win the next game, couldn't see Southampton losing they then went and lost 3 in 4.

What do you tell the fans who worry about us as well? The fact is we've pissed an unbelievable lead away and aren't in the best of form. We have numerous injuries and had one of the worst weeks off the field in quite some time.

Massive game today, let's hope Enzo reminds them of that. Pressure is here, no point him trying to downplay it any longer. He needs leaders and he needs to start with himself.

Why are we?

Because people want it that way. Bed wetters on here want it all to fall apart because that’s the way they like it.

Not win today and we make it even harder. Regardless, after today the next league match is not till the 29th March so there is good opportunity to reset and focus on the final stretch regardless of todays result.

We haven't pissed anything away. We've had a bad run of form, losing a couple of games we played well enough to win, and we're still two points clear with a game in hand.

It's an important game today, they all are now, but the fatalism on here is tedious.

Just to point out the bed wetters were right last season.

Laughed off the forum earlier in the season when I said Leeds have the best squad in the league - here they are about to knock us off the top spot next weekend

The Sunderland game was the kind of win we have needed for a while and shows we can get a few results by grinding them out if we need to and I am sure no one will care if we get 10 more the same way.

We were double digits clear of 2nd and 3rd less than a month ago. I'm not saying the pissed away part is final, we have 10 games to rectify it and let's hope our poor form is now a thing of the past because unfortunately for us it has come with less time to correct than Leeds and Ipswich had with theirs.
