AjcW Posted 7 June Share Posted 7 June So we're potentially going to have two crushing disappointments when it comes to managerial appointments this summer I'd imagine they will go with someone internal to replace Petty if he goes, hopefully we have someone stand out ready to take over. I wonder if we can weave Kingy into the set up somehow while he completes his badges? Would love that

Thomas, 19, is highly regarded at the King Power after impressing in the Premier League 2, where he scored five goals and provided four assists in 16 games for the under-21s. The winger was named on the Leicester bench in FA Cup clashes against Birmingham and Bournemouth last season, but is yet to make his senior debut. Interested clubs are now waiting for Leicester to decide whether to loan Thomas out, or whether he will be kept around the squad for the upcoming Premier League season. Leicester City gem Silko Thomas wanted by Championship clubs Thomas joined Leicester from Chelsea’s academy in September 2023 and has impressed the coaching staff at the King Power. Having represented England at youth level, both for the under-15s and under-18s, the opportunity to move on loan would allow him a chance to make his name. Thomas featured for Leicester’s under-21 side in the EFL Trophy last season as they took on Fleetwood, Wigan and Tranmere, scoring the winner in a 1-0 win against Tranmere in his first experience against senior teams. With first-team opportunities hard to come by, clubs across the EFL are exploring the possibility of taking him on a season-long loan, should Leicester make him available. coolhandfox Posted 10 June Share Posted 10 June (edited) Someone has to want him on loan, can't force someone to take him. The player also has to want to go to the club that wants him. Edited 10 June by coolhandfox
Noahfence Posted 10 June Share Posted 10 June Not saying he would’ve made it here but Maswanhise should’ve been loaned out. (Realise I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes)

In Rodgers case that was at Premier League level. It's going to be so short sighted to send these lads out to League One. Especially given our financial woes. Giggs was thrown in at 17 and thrived. Why not Alves or the others?
