Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

Will be interested to see how his pans out compensation wise as it hasn’t gone down well at all.
Illegal approach , tapping up , usual dodgy dealings from Agent etc etc all in the melting pot

Maybe we’ll get someone on loan from them to calm the waters ?

I'd heard they'd offered us Kaide Gordon and we rejected it.

Is there anything to worry about face we have lost two of our 16 year olds to City & Liverpool? Does losing best players to big clubs at such young age not really irritate everyone else

I know we can still bring through talent but does not seem fair even with Seagrave and the geographic advantage of being a one county club that we still lose our best youngsters to big 6

Lewis Brunt has gone on loan to Mansfield Town in League Two

...would you think he would be better placed playing the style of the first team in the U21s, than going out on loan!!!

In the new season for the U21s, it does not appear that we are playing in the same fashion as Maresca's first team and that would have been a big innovation for this club.

...he stagnated here!!!

Watching him come on as a substitute for the U21s he was totally ineffective, mind you I am not sure he or the team knew what was expected of them. Kian looked more busy but was always on the fringe of things, both hardly ever got involved in games due to supply being from a team struggling for dominance in games.

This could be the best thing that could happen to him, although he may not see it that way at the present, having to go backwards to go forward.
