Why we are not attempting to play like the first team, a chance to gain some understanding of what is required in each individual role. It is all very well to play the role, but is there an understanding of what is being asked of you and how it relates to the other players around you? It has previously been posted that the club knows who they have high hopes for and the rest are just water carriers, well we need to stop that way of thinking and make every player just as important as the player at the side of him. The thought that Rudkin has upped his ideas is just not right, he needs to relinquish control of the academy and the club to bring it in line with a club playing a style of football that everyone has bought into. We opened ourselves up but as soon as things started going wrong, rather than try to solve it… the club tried to hide it. It’s honestly pathetic. Obviously they’re not! as many have proven, our prospects are succeeding despite our youth set up. Obviously they’re not! ...they are 2 players in a team of 11, hard to influence a game when your teammates are constantly under the pump!!! Arsenal is a more technical team, they have a large catchment area and a big pull. I would suspect they kept hold of the ball much better with fewer numbers and we struggled to make our superiority in numbers count.
