Wish people would stop trying to convince themselves it’s not!! - Nearly doubling his weekly salary - Can stay at his current house where he is settled and children at school etc - Will develop further with the help of a World Class manager - Will play in front of 40,000 non manufactured (clappers) stadium - Regular starter - European football with the target of winning that competition - Challenge for the top 6 Personally, I can’t see too many negatives there. He refused to sign a deal here because he was adamant he wanted CL football, was adamant he was good enough for that. Yet he's waltzing into a team that are trying to achieve what we had when he refused to sign the deal. That's what people are frustrated about, that is the big annoyance of it all. He didn’t, there are a number of reasons why he didn’t. Money talks. He achieved what he wanted to achieve - a free transfer so more money in his pocket.
