LCFC Women 2023-24 Season

Thibaud has no pace, need someone in a DM role with pace and to screen the defence, Cain tore them apart first half, Russo did the same second half. Kirk was too slow to react and also Rose coming off at half time was an odd one.  Ref was terrible. Glad to be home, been sat with Arsenal fans all game, they must have bought 2000 at least.

...this team is slow all the way through this team!!!

Did not get a chance to see this one, but surprised to see we had gone 2 goals to nil up. The final score was something that I had expected, but disappointed we could not take control of the game while in the ascendency.

She's still working her way back from serious injury, it's about managing her minutes by both us and Canada right now

The bubble has burst for the women just has it has for the men.

...what we saw at the start of the season has led supporters to think we had vastly improved!!!

Our first two games had fallen nicely for us, and was the two teams that we were likely to beat and so it proved. There has been moments in the other games where we performed well but these defeats were expected and will continue to be so.

There was a close defeat to a Manchester City team which was one of the worse Manchester City team that I  have seen for a few years. Liverpool were not a great deal better than us, but looked better structured and played as if they understood what had been asked of them.

We just do not do the basics well enough, can't tackle, can't sheild the ball, poor first touches, just giving the ball away with blind passes and balls underhit and turning over possession.

They need to work on looking after the ball more, as a professional setup they have the time and facility to improve these  player and not having to go into the market to upgrade what we have.

This is about money, it helps you to build better quicker, but as a coach, you certainly want to improve the players under your charge. If that is not what a coach is, then I am not sure, why you would choose to do this job.

We were never going to fight at the top of the WSL, a mid or lower mid finish is pretty good for us.

Problem with Arsenal is we forced them to go into top gear second half.

I was stuck in the middle of a load of Arsenal fans too. Proper sucked. Kirk seems determined to play the high defensive line all the time which cost us. We didn't look after the ball well enough so it's clear we are still a work in progress.

I went with the minions and they both enjoyed it. It was a decent game, but lack of pace and decision on the ball needs to be worked on. Defenders played well with some good defending and tackles, I thought. They got in some good positions, but just didn't have the quality.

Better than last season. Held onto it at the end. Leitzig is outstanding keeper at this level.

Desperate last 15 mins, passes going astray, lack of control when running with the ball, easily robbed. Just basic skills.

...so frustrating to watch, the right passes are being made put the supporting player has not got into the position to receive it, but it still gets played!!!

Just not looking after the ball, and stop this passing around at the back. If you are being closed down send it down the channels,  we just play ourselves into a corner and create chances for the opposition.
