I have watched a few games now, and I agree - it is a difficult watch. Apart from the top few teams, the quality really is rather poor. Still maintain Kirk is slow to react with subs etc but he had limited options today with a very young bench. Janina is very good in goal but her footwork and distribution needs work. Again we've not stopped the cross and it's cost 2 points, need O'brien back and hopefully the Japanese girl can add some quality too. Big thing is Kirk has massively fixed our attack. Near enough half way through the season and we've already got as many goals as in either of the last two seasons. Defence still plodding along as is. It's not as bad as some are making out but what is obvious is how inexperienced this team are at actually taking leads and so managing them. We've dropped 8 points from winning positions (1-0 v man Utd, spurs and west ham and drew, 2-0 up v arsenal and lost, and v Brighton and drew) - had we seen those out we'd be 4th on GD and 1 point off arsenal in third. League standard & quality upped its levels… Every club upped theirs… Our girls are doing ok,I want looking for anything special Hoped we could compete for 5-6 positions.. keep relegation out of our worries. These type of runs will see us looking too often over our sholdiers. That’s this seasons challenge. Would be very dissapointed if we can’t withstand this nw womems club challenge. One obvious weakness..,women Profis are not playing enough games… Our next game is in Jan. 2024- Women can’t can’t compare with the man’s sport. Internationally,Nationally, club wise…So let’s not judge it on the same level.. Sorry girls love the sport,but few are guaranteeing top crowds,so be prepared to be so judged on finance equal earnt rights..
