Pita Posted 14 January Share Posted 14 January Let’s hope they can keep this up as they need a couple of wins in WSL to keep away from regulation trouble.
LCFCJoe96 Posted 14 January Author Share Posted 14 January Just shy of 1,000 there, PA said it was a record for Derby women. Bit of a battle to break them down with 11 behind the ball at all times but comprehensive enough, hit the woodwork a couple times and forced saves too. Petermann, Rantala, Goodwin & Momiki stood out

davieG Posted 16 January Share Posted 16 January Leicester City goalkeeper Holly Mears has joined FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division club Nottingham Forest on a dual-registration basis. The Foxes announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website yesterday evening. The teenager is yet to make her senior debut for Leicester City. She has provided cover on the first team bench on a handful of occasions to date. Mears needs the opportunity to play at senior level therefore the next step of her development is to go out and get some minutes in the third tier with Nottingham Forest. Nottingham Forest were able to get the deal done ahead of their Adobe Women’s FA Cup fourth round tie at Plymouth Argyle at the weekend. Mears was named as a substitute in The Tricky Trees’ 6-1 win. She will compete for the first-choice goalkeeping jersey with Emily Batty in the coming weeks. Leicester City are making good use of their Midlands links to develop their young players. Mears is the second youngster to go out on a dual-registration arrangement in the current transfer window. Defender Jess Reavill will also be playing FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division football in the second half of the season after recently joining West Bromwich Albion. TheLittleBigMan Posted 16 January Share Posted 16 January New signings looked quality. Granted against a team in the league below but they looked sharp. Looking forward to the second half of the season.

Lineker's Lugs Posted 19 January Share Posted 19 January Villa have seriously underperformed this season. I'm expecting them to start putting that right tonight, but it should be a decent game.

Spudulike Posted 19 January Share Posted 19 January Sorry if I've missed it but what work is going on down at the stadium? This is a home game for Leicester yet they are playing it 40 miles away from their usual base. The Pirelli Stadium, home of Burton Albion, is tonight's venue as work is being carried out on the King Power Stadium, where Leicester's home matches are usually played. Lineker's Lugs Posted 19 January Share Posted 19 January Well, I was wrong about it being a decent game! Villa are a cut above despite not being great themselves. It's amazing Leicester haven't yet addressed their defensive deficiencies in this transfer window. Looks like Rose is coming on though, good news.
