Other Team Transfers 2023

Recommended Posts

These saudi teams are really just making the already uneven playing field worse. It’s essentially giving a cash injection to all the big clubs for unwanted players that they’d usually struggle to shift.

It’s going to be even harder for clubs to keep up and if brighton and villa fall short this year it could be a hard reach in future seasons.

Chelsea in particular makes me sick, they’ve done awful business and are getting fully bailed out. i was looking forward to watching them suffer, but they’ve somehow cleared a huge amount to help with the books.

Andros Townsend set to join Burnley on a free transfer.  There had to be one upside to relegation - and there it is.

I keep thinking “that isn’t a usual Dyche signing” before remembering Dyche hasn’t been manager of Burnley for over a year.

West Ham are having an absolute shocker this summer, even if they have got £100m for Rice

Missing out on targets, getting rinsed because of the Rice money, players choosing to stay at their clubs, Moyes turning down signings that don’t have Prem experience

He’ll do well there, be a £50m+ player if all goes to plan

Pleased Borges chose Ajax.

The footballing romantic in me struggles to get its head around mid-ranking/struggling PL sides being more attractive for many players than the likes of Ajax.

Did West Aaaaam appoint Rudkin without us knowing

We might be facing a similar issue though… teams know we have cash and will drive the price up. We have 100% overpaid for our signings, though probably only by about 10-15% which is not the end of the world. West Ham should have had their signings lined up and signed long before Rice was sold. They knew it was going to happen!
