Don’t really understand your point as Brentford’s recruitment over the past 3 + years has been far better than ours.

Criticising Brentford is pretty much on par with criticising Brighton. You're well off with this one, if you’re trying compare it to our situation we’ve got multiple players sat doing nothing on big wages, this is Brentford’s first major splash.

This is exactly what people have been saying about Brentford and Brighton though isn't it. 

 

Eventually it gets harder and harder to keep up this under the radar signing of obscure rough gems on low fees if you want to keep climbing the Premier League table. 

 

They're following pretty much exactly our trajectory.
