He isn't technically good enough for Enzo-ball.

Not sure he is technically good enough for any ball these days tbh.

I know he has played a role so far, but I think the Championship has flattered him slightly.

Forest are getting a player on a serious decline, unless by miracle he returns to some kind of form after 2 years.

Don’t forget the Rogers effect..

We do need someone to win the ball TBF.

but we need someone to pass the f£&@ing thing as well - especially away from home, where we treat it like a hand grenade

He won’t help you with passing

He definitely won’t help with that, probably one of the worst players we’ve got for keeping hold of the ball and it’s surprising when one of his shots stays below the bar.

He’s not the player he once was.

He’s a destroyer that has lost his agility and can’t pass a ball consistently.

He was nothing short of world class for 2 to 2 and a half years, however the fall of has been nothing short of dramatic since then. If we can get any sort of fee and shift him on to pastures new, then replace him with a player who can work within this system, it’s an improvement.

As it has been mentioned in recent times in other threads about him, he has had a tough time personally which could - albeit slightly - have affected his performances.

All the discussion about his age and potential for him being older than his 'official' age makes a lot of sense. And before that wild poster comes in to start crowing about racism - he did fail an MRI aging test.

Signed a 6 year contract with us that saw him committing to his prime - a very generous deal for him and real loyalty to us. Might have been future proofing on his behalf.

The massive drop-off in form and fitness - very similar to aging players but in his position there's nowhere really to hide.

A seeming reluctance to look at a serious move; he still, theoretically, should have his best years ahead of him. Why isn't there more chatter?

Whatever comes of it, it was a real privilege to watch him play for a good 2 years of his time here. I'd argue that in his peak he wasn't a million miles from Kante and that's no slight praise.

I don’t want to be too smug about it as if he did rediscover his best form, he’d be an excellent signing for them. But if we can get a good fee, it’ll be good for us. If they pay us a good fee and his really is past it, that’d be great!

If he goes to Forest, he can still be besties with Nacho as only down the road! Bonus!

Mate the majority of the squad live in Notts/North Leics border. Barely anyone wants anything to do with Leicester (the city) lol

Think David Batty.

Used in the right system Wilf is a top DM. Hasn’t been the same since his injury but before that he was one of the best in the league.

he's not even half the player he was as a pure DM/ball winner. Injuries and Bodgers ruined him
