Wilfred Ndidi has a year left on his contract and wants to leave Leicester City this summer.

That’s according to Yeni Şafak, who say Fenerbahçe have come forward to sign the 26-year-old.

The Yellow Canaries are looking to strengthen their No.6 position and have identified the Leicester man as a target. The Turkish club have taken further steps as the report states they have sent an offer worth €8m, plus bonuses, to the Foxes. It’s claimed new Fenerbahçe sporting director Mário Branco has held talks with both the Nigeria international and his agent.

This seems to have convinced the defensive midfielder as Yeni Şafak state he ‘welcomes [the] offer’ made by the Istanbul club. He’s also keen to leave Leicester following their relegation from the Premier League last season.

There’s no mention whether Enzo Maresca’s side have accepted or rejected Fenerbahçe’s bid for the player.

Ndidi has received positive updates about Fenerbahçe from his compatriots, Joseph Yobo and Emmanuel Emenike, who had spells Turkey.

The Nigerian made 30 appearances for Leicester last season and also started in their 2-1 league win over Coventry City.

I'd imagine we'd sell but not for €8M. Probably has to be at or above £10M.

But why 10 million if we are offered 8? we need him gone so we can replace with someone hungrier, on the up, on less money than ndidi is. Pointless potentially scuppering a move over peanuts in footballing terms.  Get him gone.

Just take the 8 million, far better than loosing him for nothing at the end of season. Can’t see him featuring much if he stays anyway

€8M is about £6.5M and you know the Turkish will be paying that in installments. If we've got another cheaper and hungrier player lined up, then maybe take the lower offer.

Why?  We are where we are and need to rebuild. Just get as much as we can. Contract Management by the DoF has placed us in this position.  If as Club, you really want to keep a player, start talking with 2 years left on the contract or else risk being screwed-  which we have been several times this window.

Wouldn't sell him for 6.5 million quid, which is what they're offering.

Turkish and Italian clubs really do take the piss.

If you play him where he's best suited, and just have him do what he's good at, which is, make tackles, interceptions, and generally be a destroyer, but then tell him to play it simple to someone who can play with the ball, he's top notch.  It wasn't so long ago he was one of the best defensive midfielders in the premier league.

Then Rodgers got hold of him, and tried to change his game, and he's been awful ever since.

He clearly is not going to be good enough to play in a  Enzo team though, because he has very little technical ability, so it is best that he moves on, but not for less than 10 million pound notes, not euros.

We don't need to squeeze them for cash and jeopardise the deal.

Maybe a sell-on percentage, but let's get the guy gone and his wages off the books.

A top flight team with a couple of his national team mates in the squad, won't get a better move. We've got enough depth in the middle.

I’d just take what we can get over £7m

wages they will pay means we are probably covering a million quid aswell on that. So the fee gets reduced by a million. plus he’s due a decent loyalty bonus. it all adds up

as ric says it’s all in the positive column on ffp so just get it done
