The rumour says Bayern don't want to spend any money and only want a loan.

Not sure why people are getting that excited.

simply playing for bayern even if he’s terrible, would likely raise his profile enough for us to get rid in the summer for an alright fee.

People will just assume he must be good because he’s gone there. If he actually has a good run in the team for them… well, then we suddenly get a great fee

German champions Bayern Munich are considering making a move for Wilfred Ndidi before the close of the summer transfer window.

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel is in the market for a holding midfielder and Ndidi is one of the names on the list of players being targeted.

According to the online edition of celebrated German sports magazine Kicker,  work is being done behind the scenes for a one-year extension, which would allow Bayern to sign Ndidi on loan for the remainder of the season.

Ndidi putting pen to a new deal would mean that the Foxes would not allow him leave for nothing at the end of this season, with the current agreement between club and player running out on June 30, 2024.

As per the report, Tuchel is an admirer of the Ndidi and the Nigeria national teamer was keen on working with the German at Paris Saint-Germain.

The Nath Boys product joined Leicester City  from Racing Genk in January 2017 and since then he has gone on to make 242 appearances in all competitions, registering 12 goals and 12 assists.

His injury problems seem to be a thing of the past as he has been involved in all the games played by Leicester City in the new season, starting four from a possible five.

Don't they know about Soumare, they can have him for free?

He would only go on loan if he signs an extension of a year here

so next summer he has

a) been shite and he comes back and we are in the same situation as now

b) been ok and we are able to sell him

plus points are that Bayern would pay a loan fee and his salary

this seems exciting in the context of our sale window thus far

I'm not sure it is in current context. The manager seems to like him, he's one of our core group at the moment. If he goes, it's one more player we have to replace but we're getting nothing for him now in the short term other than his wages off the budget.

Meaning that whoever comes in has to either be extremely cheap and thus a significant risk in quality or a loan.

We're up to three loans currently and it seems like we're eyeing up two more in AFI and THB.

If Wilf goes on loan AND we sell Soumaré for enough to buy someone like Chair then okay, fine. Otherwise? Eh. If Alves and Braybrooke were closer it'd give me less anxiety but..

they would pay a loan fee of £1.5m .  Together with his wages that provides £4m in the positive column this season. Enough to cover a purchase of £10m and salary of 40k/week  (jeez we need to bounce straight back though!)

well they cant put a towel over him and claim him now.....like the sunbeds:ph34r:

they can afford £10mil

They won’t buy him because they know he’s a risk if he can’t recover his form. Hence the loan option
