Not sure how he strengths them, will just be another chain round their neck financially. Will probably be on nearly 100k and will want 2/3 years. If we’re getting 15 million for him, it’s the transfer of the summer. He will want 5 years and 80k/week on the basis that they’re getting him cheap as only a year left I wonder what fee we’ll actually get it could wash a couple of other options out of the woodwork but I think he and his family are well settled so Nottingham will be a draw for him

Everybody knows what a hero he was for the first few years here but the fact is he’s done and it sounds like we’re getting a fantastic deal whilst also hindering Forest. Also, he obviously isn’t that bothered about us if he’s pushing for the move. Plus, it won’t be a big gap to fill will it? He’s playing in a role completely unsuited to him and if he stayed likely 4th choice. I think he'll be a bench player for forest to close games down, and he'll do alright i'd say
Foxes with Sprit Posted 27 August 2023 Share Posted 27 August 2023 Wilf is not the sharpest tool especially now we got a technical manager that into the details, Wilf is found wanting , he might do very well at forest who knows. All I would say is good luck and thank you.

And the way some of you talk about Wilf is nothing short of scandalous. Some of you "fans" dont deserve him. Go well Wilf (but not too well since it is Forest). Well said. He has had so many great performances for us. It's a shame Forest might benefit from him. It's a bit galling that they are in the top division and we're not. FrankieADZ Posted 27 August 2023 Share Posted 27 August 2023 Romano on Kick, said Forest are really keen to get it done, basically all what he said in the tweet really. suspect this will get done rather quickly all told, sad to see Wilf go, but sort of looking forward to see Casadei in there

Says a lot about him as a person Far from it I think. Rodgers once said he was very settled in the midlands and doing business qualifications. Wimsey pointed out the rumour there had been personal issues that isn’t fair drilling into. He could just be trying to do the best for his family. Can you imagine how crap it would be for someone like him to end up in Turkey. He has been happy to be that square peg since Enzo took over. I presume he and the manager have spoken about this and Wilf is well aware that he is going to end up down the pecking order, and his core skills aren’t going to be needed this season. He’s done his bit. We should be happy he can now move on. I love the good years he gave us. We’ve bumped into him a few times at the KP and he’s always been a lovely bloke. But it’s time, and I really think people need to not worry about it being forest. We only need to care about forest if we get promoted and they don’t get relegated. Baring in mind the transfer fee, his position in the squad, and the fact we have to rebuild, that’s too many ifs for me to care about right now. Thanks for the good times Wilf. And thanks again for helping Enzo start his rebuild. I hope you can put those issues behind you and enjoy the next part of your career. On a separate note, i think Forest are screwed with or without him.

End of the day, he’s not going to have to move house, keeps his family settled and we get some money before his contract ends. Win win.

Popular Post honeybradger Posted 27 August 2023 Popular Post Share Posted 27 August 2023 (edited) Heartbreaking stuff personally. One of my favourite players from our best ever era. His first 5 years here where he reached a UCL quarter final, dominated the tackles leaderboard every season, finished 5th with us twice and was vital to our FA cup will forever be underrated by our fans it seems. Tell you what, what I'd like even more is you explaining it to Wes. To his face. Or yknow. We can just acknowledge you went overboard a bit and you can take it down a notch. Edit: I wrote this and immediately realised it sounded like a threat - to be clear, I don't know your location, I don't have Wes Morgan's phone number and I'm confident he's got better things to do. Popular Post StriderHiryu Posted 27 August 2023 Popular Post Share Posted 27 August 2023 It’s time for a new era. After last season, you could argue every single player should go with the exceptions of Ricardo and JJ (injuries) and Vardy and Albrighton (legends and age catching up).

Says a lot about him as a person does it though? like really? for me if he does go there it says alot for the better reason, as stated myself and by others, it means he doesnt have to uproot his young family from the area, hes not came out and said all over the press he wants to leave has he.....hes not gone on strike, down tools etc, hes always done his up most for the team, dont get me wrong hes had shit games but hes human so you have to expect that; even now hes playing with a smile on his face even tho hes out of position. so your looking at him going to forest as something bad, its forest, its not the end of the world, rivals during the game but have some common sense outside of it
