What makes you so sure Nacho would be 3rd choice? He was due to start against Spurs. People are reading way too much into yesterday’s team selection….

Because Vardy is first choice and Daka would be the least disruptive alternate.  If we are planning to play the system with a vardy-type player, switching to nacho as #9 would be a very different game.  Maresca seems unpredictable, so i'm just basing it on continuity :dunno:

Where’s the Italian link come from? Seen a few mention it

there were reports of interest from italy that stepped away at the prices quoted. But Nixon (or may have been someone else) said he has his his heart set on a move there

He will end up at one of the newly relegated clubs for me.

...if that was the case we could have a Premier League squad already set up and raring to go!!!

Khun Top cannot just put money in to buy players, FFP stops that and is the reason why we appear to be playing chess every transfer window. Unless it is funded from trading (gate receipts, merchandise, tv money, appearance money for televised games, sponsorship or from the sale of another player) we cannot finance a purchase in any other way.

Why not? Man City, Chelsea, Everton, and others, have done it and never get punished 🤷‍♂️

Excluding Everton because they are all sorts of special, those big clubs have massive recurring revenues from global marketing, so FFP is harder to breach especially with 95 year contracts or whatever rubbish Chelsea will trailblaze

They also probably have more terrifying legal teams and are inherent to the EPL brand

Can see this one being a final few days thing, someone comes in for Nacho and we buy this guy with the money

Yeah suspect he’s the man. We should just get him and sell Kel anyways unless he wants to sign a new deal
