James Maddison completes move to Spurs

Recommended Posts

In terms of Spurs and Leicester. Being in the PL is like driving a Mercedes or Red Bull in Formula One - you have the tools and resources to compete. If you’re not in the PL you’re nowhere and may as well be driving a Toro Rosso. We need to get back there ASAP.

You have to make the most of those resources though - and we have quite spectacularly. Our recent history is better than many clubs, but our immediate future is uncertain. I’d rather have our last 30 years than almost any other club, but I don’t know where the next 30 is going.

In terms of Maddison. He’s gone now. He’s not a Leicester player. I don’t have much interest in him from now.

We’re hardly in a position to be talking about passing Spurs by and I’m sure they’ve had plenty of laughs at our predicament in the past few months.

I bet they have. But so easy to wipe that smile away.

WHO FINISHED THIRD IN A TWO HORSE RACE.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This thread is wild. There's probably only 6 clubs who's fans wouldn't take a PL title if it meant a relegation. Fans of every other club would bite your arm off.

We were heading for relegation the season after winning and few were talking that way on here. Football is about the here and now and great as the success was , we can't exist on nostalgia , not us or Spurs.

I'd take a relegation to league 1 if it meant another PL title.

How may trophies have they won compared too little old leicester in the last 30 years

1 league cup vs 1 PL title, 1 FA Cup and 2 League cups.

I'd take the odd relegation.....

Annoys me how everyone constantly forgets Corendon cup glory!

Nonsense. What's the point in winning anything then? 2015/16 was the best year of my life, you think I'd exchange that for a 17th place finish last season? Or the champions league nights and FA cup win.

For the record nobody was more angry than me with the pathetic season under Rodgers but it doesn't take away what we achieved

If only we had not lost to Dunfermline in 1972 QuizBall final, that would have meant another Trophy.

I’m not sure why so many people are bitter about him going to Spurs.

He’s quite clearly far too good for the championship, he needs to cement his place in the England squad and this is the way to do it.

He was nothing but good for us (of course he’s had bad games but on the whole) and he’s also been respectful In the way he left and he’s been complementary about us and the club as a whole since he left.

I think it’s a real shame he’s left, but a shame for us more than anything. Anybody who boos him when we ever play against him again needs to reevaluate, he gave us some of our best times.

Another ex player that some people can't move on from. Probably get booed as well by a minority should we ever face spurs again, so sad.

He's another level bullshit tweet attacking Tanner summed up our season.

This obsession with Spurs on here , I just don't get .Yes some of their fans are obnoxious but we have a fair few. I understand local rivalries , football is nothing without it but Spurs , I just don't care about them. Maddison is gone , he was generally good for us but he is history just like Winks is for Spurs .

He was a bit of a tool.

However, he was our tool.

He’s a good player. I’ll be interested in how he gets on at Spurs, however no one can deny, they’re like the third (or fourth) wheel now, looking at the Manchester clubs, Chelsea, Newcastle etc.

They’re tighter than a camels arse in a sandstorm with money and you’d think Rudkin was running recruitment with some of their buys.

We’ll see how they get on, however I can’t imagine they’ll be playing Champions League football any time soon.

He has gone.Good luck to him. He is going to need it! Kane going is a massive loss to them. They will be doing well to get top 8. I question why he would.go there other than London life and money.

That's probably it in a nutshell. Although, according to an article in The Athletic yesterday, his good friend, Harry Kane, did encourage him to sign....

This thread is ludicrous.

Some of you need help!!!

I do. If you can have the house hoovered and dusted before I get back from Kettering-Stourbridge that’d be great. Don’t forget to clean the windows. Cheers.

Shall I change the bedding too whilst I'm at it?
