One thing at a time! Has really lacked consistency since he's been back but I do think people forget just how incredible he was during the season he got his injury. Word on the street was that he was locked in to be England's starting left back for the Euro's

Which street was that?

Used to know somebody in the England camp. Plus it was referenced by at least one of the reputable journalists with England connections (can't remember the name). Adds up when you consider he got called up when he came back and his form had hardly been great.

He was shit today lol the issue with a certain poster is that he only pops up when he's been shite and never when he's been decent

Ah fair enough! lol

Expect the thread to turn "hot" later then lol

He was so exposed today. Made a poor decision for the second goal although the issue was you should never have to make that decision as a defender. First goal, was a blatant obstruction. Not saying he would have stopped ESR, but he'd definitely have had the the chance to stop him. Think he did plenty of good stuff but can't argue he should have done better for the second goal at least. Unfortunately he's scapegoat number 1 for some people.

Don't know what's happened to Fatawu in these first couple of games as he's lost his defensive positioning which was one of his great strengths. Sadly that's the case across the team as we seem to defend really wide in the middle of the pitch but then narrow in defence, which leaves huge space on the wings. They constantly doubled up on him and in particular, that underlap was always on. Can't possibly expect him to not get exposed several times in 90 mins when that's the situation.

He had a solid game against Spurs, so you could argue he deserved to be picked again today, but unfortunately, he was very poor. He was out of position for both goals, and most of their success came from his side. It's a shame but the silver lining is that it might lead Cooper to give Ricardo more game time.

Don't wanna get at him for the first goal, collection of errors all round. Second was shit and should have realised how easily Robinson could ping that round him. Wondering how Robinson got to be free that far up, where was Mavididi I don't know but I think we just switched off at times today which didn't happen Vs Spurs.

1st one Fatawu didn't follow his man and left JJ 2v1.

2nd one Winks got overpowered by Iwobi.

Justin is 100% at fault for the second, leave he position and man (Iwobi) to press the player in possession who then plays it in Iwobi taking Justin out of the game.

Brainless play by Justin.

Whether Mateta was onside or not, I think JJ has done quite poorly to allow Mitchell to drift away from him to get the space to put such a dangerous ball across the box quite easily

And it wasn't the only time.

Mitchell or their left winger regularly had time and space on that area of the pitch. He regularly drifted in.

I really want to know whether that was a JJ decision or a Cooper instruction for him to press so far wide and forward for the 2nd goal

Either way it was a horrendous decision

He was never remotely close to their winger who always had acres of space - all game.
