TDifferance between Kasper and them 2 are Kasper was best goalie in Leicestershire. Bank and Shilton best in the world!!!

Well, hopefully this will calm down the "it's June and we've not appointed 69 new coaches" lot. While it's popular to assume that everyone connected to the club is completely incompetent, right down to Gladys the tea lady who keeps putting the milk in first, we'd not sack the coaching team without having replacements lined up and on their way in

Are you arguing that Walker, Flowers and Wallington were better than Kasper? I saw a bit of Wallington, and a lot of the other two. They weren't. Even my father, who lives in 1977, doesn't believe that. And Banks and Shilton were nowhere near as successful with us as Schmeichel. You can debate England, Stoke, Forest and Southampton if you wish. As a Leicester keeper, Schmeichel contends seriously with - possibly surpasses - two of the greatest keepers in footballing history. That should be to his, and his coach's credit.

I thank them all for their time at the club and wish them well. No hard feelings to any of them but probably a good change all round. We certainly need a freshen up.

Well if the new manager wants a goalkeeper to play out from the back, then I can't see that Mike Stowell is the right coach to help train the goalie to do that, not to the required standard anyway. So good luck to him elsewhere, but I guess there's just not a place for him here anymore.

Bloke deserves some credit for inputting into the greatest successes of the club. Especially across multiple managers, none felt the need to move him on. 
 

Time is right for change. But he deserves a thanks for his efforts

You can name a few things that caused relegation: keeping Rodgers too long, the Madders penalty miss V Everton, keeping Ward in goal for so long but these two with their complete lack of ideas and inability to rally the troops when Rodgers went can be added to that list quite easily. 

They weren't managers. They weren’t employed to do that job. Particularly interviews etc. They won’t the the best versed in tactics as that’s 90% out of their remit as coaches 
 

They pushed into a role after the board made a decision on whim without no back up plan

Not alone, but integral and produced performances that rose to occasions. In big moments, he stood tall. 
 

Your named keepers also sparkled at times, but none of them were key to the club winning the top flight and lifting the FA Cup - the latter with a display of pure 11/10 brilliance.

I saw Flowers and Walker. Schmeichel was definitely better than both - hell, if we're talking about that era I'd put Kasey Kellar ahead of those two. That's not even an argument worth having. Kasper's 1-on-1 stopping alone put him into a higher bracket during his 2016-21 peak for us. If his distribution was better, he'd be world class.

 

Banks is probably the only one there with a genuine claim, but I didn't see him in person to be able to confirm.

Would’ve seemed counter productive to have top of the range training facilities and a team just relegated with the same coaches, we need fresh ideas and new concepts from top to bottom.

The players are probably far to comfortable with the existing coaches, leading to knowing what they can and can’t get away with.

Needed a fresh start to put the existing players back on their toes. .

So weird some of the vitirol thrown the way of 2 coaches for how they managed us in 2 games when literally neither of them are managers, have never shown they want to be managers, or have ever been managers.

 

They shouldn't have had to step up to be in charge of those 2 games in the first place.

 

Also what a surprise a guy from behind the scenes thrust into doing interviews at a time when the club is in a massive state of disarray sounded out of his depth AS A MANAGER WHICH HE ISN'T AND NEVER HAS BEEN.

 

Those results fall down on the board for not having a clue what to do when they sacked Rodgers and throwing them in the deepend, not on Stowell and Sadler.

 

Thank you to both for their time at the club and I wish them well in their next jobs.

 

Unfortunately for them it was just time for a clear out and some fresh blood.

 

Also thank you and good luck to Knudsen, not got the stats but pretty damn sure he definitely helped rectify Rodger's inability to organise our defence from a corner

You can't totally compare them anyway. Schmeichel is the only one who had to play possession football and short passing so we've no idea of Flowers and Walker were good with their feet. As shot stoppers Schmeichel was miles ahead.

 

The best keeper in the last 40 years by far. Not even close and I liked the other keepers mentioned.

Can’t deny the coaches have been good servants and cannot blame them solely for last season. Simply time for much needed change.

Sad the way that it's ended for Stowell and Sadler but I think now's the right time to start afresh and bring new ideas to the group. I wish them all well for the future though I'm excited to see our coaching changes under Maresca.

You do realise that Kasper Schmeichel was the goalkeeper that presided over our most successful period we’ve ever had

 

I’m 40 and he’s by far the best goalkeeper I’ve had the pleasure to see in our shirt. To mention him alongside Flowers, let alone Walker is criminal, and I say that as someone who loved Tim Flowers

Good servants to the club and made a significant contribution to our success under King Power over the last few years, but as with most things it can become stale and people need a fresh challenge. I think both should leave with heads held high but time is right to part company and bring fresh ideas and a new mentality to the club. 
 

Some won’t like me saying it but fair play to the club at this stage, there appears little sentiment being shown, this relegation has been a massive wake up call and so far the reaction has been what I would expect and support.
