King Power To Return As Official Principal Partner

 

Leicester City Football Club today announces the return of King Power as the Club’s Official Principal Partner, reinstating a partnership that has brought immense success and unforgettable moments to the Club and its supporters.

 

- King Power to become Official Principal Partner for the 2023/24 season


- The partnership sees King Power branding return to the front of Leicester City shirts


- New 2023/24 adidas home shirts with King Power branding will be available in-store or online from 1 July


- Leicester City shirts carried the King Power logo from 2010 to 2021

 

The famous King Power brand will once again adorn the front of Leicester City shirts for the 2023/24 season, symbolising a renewed era of collaboration and shared ambitions for our men’s and women’s teams with the ongoing commitment of the Club’s parent company.

 

King Power’s return to all match and replica shirts will replace the presence of FBS, who have previously been the Club’s Official Principal Partner since 2021.

 

Leicester City Chief Executive Susan Whelan said: "Our supporters have shared many wonderful moments with King Power on the front of Leicester City shirts and this renewed partnership is one that will support further growth and success.

 

“King Power have made a significant contribution to this Football Club’s rich heritage and this renewed commitment demonstrates its determination to keep contributing to that ongoing legacy in every way, as we embark on this new chapter. 

 

“The renewed partnership with King Power marks a nostalgic reunion, reigniting the memories of an unforgettable period of triumphs and accomplishments for the Football Club. From 2010 to 2021, the King Power logo was proudly carried on Leicester City’s shirts during a remarkable journey that saw the Club reach unprecedented heights.

 

“I’d also like to extend our sincere thanks to FBS for their support during their time as Leicester City’s Official Principal Partner over the past two seasons. We are grateful for their contribution and look forward to maintaining a strong bond with them in a new capacity as we continue our journey.”

 

That journey now begins a new chapter, building upon a shared vision for sustained success, both on and off the pitch and underlined by King Power’s continued commitment to the Football Club.

Good.

 

But I sincerely hope it’s a substantially better deal that the one we had before.

 

If memory serves it was done in 2010 on a 10 year contract for £4m for the stadium AND the shirts, which was fair in the Championship at the time but way WAY below fair market value as Champions and a European club.

 

Would prefer this to be a rolling thing per year and a significant increase as per our status.
