It's not ideal preparation for a league season but holy shit the over reaction in here.

Anything less than an overreaction is an under-reaction. Anything remotely negative must be blown epically out of proportion as it is always worse for us than anyone else. #whyalwaysus

Blaming the Club for the weather is absolutely classic.   Life does go on in Asia during the rainy season. It is just unfortunate.

What about whining to the English Cricket Board for arranging Test matches in the summer??

Surely it’s about risk mitigation though, coming out of the farce last season.

We know it’s rains a lot, so if we really must go abroad, choose a country and stadium that has stadiums with roofing. No football Stadium in Thailand does.

As a club, we’re still making incompetent decisions and letting out heart rule our head.

We’re meant to be playing in a 70,000 seater stadium right now, that only 5,000 at most have turned up (More than half of those are Tottenham Fans). We’re only here due to our Thailand connections and it’s daft stuff like this that is now hampering the football club, rather than allowing us to be progressive.

This is even before we get into the debate of what this will have cost us, as I doubt the payback from this trip is worth it in the long run from a commercial

standpoint

It should have been canned prior to getting relegated.

When are we going to stop being an Ostrich of a football club, get our heads out of the bloody sand and make some sensible decisions on and off the pitch.

You cant blame the club for weather, but you can blame them for agreeing/organising the game in an open stadium during the rainy season. With all the money involved and importance of this pre-season game, did nobody stop and think that this is a big risk? Is there not a stadium with a roof in Thailand?

it's more the point that they've engaged in crapshoot and they crapped out. another example of the shit decision making that has us now playing in the Champ

Interesting that the Thai Football Season starts in two weeks time.  If I am not mistaken the Monsoon season in Thailand runs through to October-November?  So may be this really is just a case of bad luck..

Feel for Big Enzo in all of this. Hasn't helped him or the team's prep for the new season one bit.

If I were him I’d have a hard time biting my tongue. The tour should never have happened. We are going to go into the season unprepared compared to those around us and add on top the squad trying to learn an entirely new style basically only in training sessions.

You’d think a football club would be able to organise the playing of a few football games, but no.

Fully expect us to have a slow start to the season.

I had a quick look and couldn’t find one.

Football just isn’t their bag, so all the covered stadiums are baseball, boxing and volleyball.

How much are we making from this tour?

To be fair, plenty have said this trip wasn't good preparation and staying local to the UK (or maybe venturing to central Europe) was a more fitting set up.

Shame they didn’t do the sensible thing and play a different opposition at KP this weekend to around 15,000 supporters. It’s almost like monsoon season wasn’t expected

At least they got the photo shoot done and the Thais got to see some players waving, and we got to hear Fryatt talking about Spurs, was well worth it

Why would we whinge to the ECB for arranging matches during what in theory should be the best months for weather in this country? How is this comparable?

Because the club have a good track record of doing what is best for the club?  Yes, the football is what it's all about, but equally, as a business it's natural that they want to use the club to promote the business, not to mention the fact that they will see this as an opportunity to raise the profile of the club in asia.

The lack of investment last season was a business decision which they made knowing that the club could suffer in the short term.  Without KP there's no LCFC, at least not how we've enjoyed it since they came in.

I'm not disagreeing with all you've said, but statements like this ☝️ are a bit silly. They have done wonderful things for us, but we existed before they arrived, and we will exist long after it.

We have had a wonderful last decade, and although they've contributed in various fantastic ways, it is not all down to King Power.

Well they did arrange a match in Manchester which has more rainy days than most parts of the UK!

Intrigued to know now much we actually got for this.

Good luck Maresca. You'll need it alongside these jesters.

Probably more a case of don’t forget about us, as we disappear from main stream live games and the interest dwindles

Whoosh……The Thai League play during 3 months of the rainy season.  So I assume not every game is cancelled due to waterlogged pitches?  Shite happens.  There could be contractual obligations about this tour?  Other than KP we have other Thai sponsors.
