Mads Hermansen Officially Signs

If not already posted, the first 2 minutes is why we signed him. He will transform the way the team plays, we already saw it at the weekend.

I think he will have a few blunders but overall be a huge positive.

Has his dad uploaded that? Look at the name of the uploader 😄

With h a lot of those clips he’s in the space currently Coady’ in. I wonder if Coady will push slightly further out to the right to help the RCB with the space left by Ricardo?

Maybe!

Here's the touch map of Ederson against Arsenal in the title run-in game. You can see just how high up the pitch he was, acting as the sweeper / impromptu CB. I think we will see exactly this with Hermansen, and he's so good on the ball it could make a big difference. A sideways pass to the keeper can take an attacker out of the game, which gets exploited via fast transitions.

Okey doke.

Please feel free to elaborate on your point, I'm interested.

Rodgers seems to target 26-29 year old's who are relatively well known to the league or his son's agency.

Not sure how some kid from Denmark who barely anyone in England has heard of sounds remotely like a Rodgers signing.

Surely if Ward was being kept on as the No 2 keeper then he would have got game time against Northampton. What Saturday told me was pretty clear, Stol likely to be No 2 to Mads as he is a very competent keeper but critically has the ability to play out as Maresca wants his keepers to play.

as for Iversen and Ward it is pretty clear they don’t have the profile Enzo requires so will be moved on. I would think there will be suitors for both, Iversen will go on a perm and I think we can look to get circa £5m whilst Ward will be a nominal fee or season long loan most likely to a club in prem needing a back up.

Right foot, left foot feeding into the base of the box midfield. (Ricardo and Winks). Those two can combine well to play out. Back three will split to offer 2nd option.

Love his confidence and accuracy with both feet into 'open' wide players. Problem with our recent keepers is chipping to wide player when marked relatively tightly.....madness.

Excited for this one.

Was hoping we’d look towards Scandinavia for a new goalkeeper, Denmark have a few keepers who have done well in recent seasons. Would be interesting to get the opinion of Danes, on where they rank Hermansen in terms of Danish goalkeepers coming through.

He ticks the boxes when it comes to playing out from the back, while as that Danish journalist stated, he’s very good when it comes to reflex saves, he ranked 2nd in that statistic in the Danish Superliga last season.

Hopefully we sign a few more from the Scandinavian region, Denmark, Norway & Sweden is a hotbed for hidden gems right now.

I’m gonna get in there now and say you’re pronouncing Mads wrong.

It’s something a bit like Muls, but our Danish contingent will clarify.

@FerrisBueller

Pronounced exactly the same, but as if you had a potato in your mouth.

There's a clip somewhere on here where this was discussed, it's almost like the keeper pushes out to be a 2nd CB alongside coady.
