The majority of us aren't "falling for" anything.

 

I think it's weird and a bit creepy how obsessed some people get with certain users. Hanging off Strider's every word like the font of all tactical wisdom because he quotes a few blogs or asking Ric about every single 20 year old winger in the world like he's the scout that unearthed Riyad. I've even had people @ me on multiple threads this summer waiting for my verdict on a player just because I've posted a few publicly available stats.

 

People spamming Sambiasso with mentions on the hour every hour like he's the messiah of transfer business is obviously both obnoxiously socially awkward and straight up cringe. 

 

But it's also done by a fractional minority of oddballs that don't know better. The vast majority of people know to take all sources, be they amateur ITKs or professional journos with a pinch of salt salt and weigh up the odds of a deal happening by who is saying what. 

 

It's pretty obvious this deal and the Rak Sakyi (I think I've now spelt that kids name wrong every possible combination of those letters) one are both genuinely being worked on. Whether they come off will depend on factors way outside the scope of which tipster has leaked the info. But they're probably pretty genuine on the balance of things. 

 

People just need to chill out, be fvcking patient and just wait to see what gets confirmed. Jesus.

people think Fabs tweets are gospel, things can change in a secs, Like until its all signed it doesnt mean its done

thats just the way football is, 

 

@Sambiasso doesnt have to say anything in regards transfer but he does, it doesnt mean he deserve hate for it imo

 

i appreciate the fact he does and fully understand if transfers dont go through, its the nature of the game nowadays

 

 

Guessing we'll see Casadei on the bench Saturday then potential starting 11 for the cardiff game, if all goes through

Lad we quote the same whoppers from Twitter like BenJacobs etc every time they drop any name linking them with us! It’s what we doooo… I mean with our club operating at North Korea levels of hush hush how boring would transfer windows be if we literally just kicked back and waited for Percy or the official page to post something… it’s not that deep buddy lol

Nobody’s ‘shitting bricks’. Just acknowledging they have a strong side also.

 

Looking at the respective line ups at the weekend, they had the more complete starting 11. We had definitely 3 in ours who shouldn’t be for our aspirations (Vestergarrd, Ndidi and McAteer).

 

However, we probably have stronger squad depth. We have also probably done our major business out.

 

They will need to replace key lost players and have some more depth (lost 3-1 to Gillingham with the squad players).

 

Whereas we still have a couple of major holes in our starting 11 to sort (obviously Casadei seems to be one).

Personally I don’t take much notice either way from ITKs on a forum. If it’s mentioned by Romano or Percy etc then yes.

 

I just don’t get the obsession with either worshipping or witch-hunting them.

 

Either they are genuinely receiving information and sharing it and thinks can change. If so, they do this despite having people such as yourself hanging onto every word to pile on.

 

Or, they are a fraud, making up information to try and get likes. If this is the case, personally leave them to it as it’s a sad way to live surely :dunno:

First and foremost, Casadei is a big boy. I’ve seen him listed in a few places at 6’1”, but it would not shock me if he is a bit taller than that. Regardless, that’s a good size for a midfielder, and he’s pretty robust both in and out of possession too.

 

His off the ball work is very impressive. He can eat up the ground quickly in defensive transitions and defend out wide effectively too, as well as showing good lateral mobility and agility to defend against ball-carriers.

 

Casadei’s physical capabilities are a significant weapon in possession too. His ability to crash the box has been a constant feature since his time in Inter’s Primavera team, and it was once again highlighted in the Under-20 World Cup. He dominates in the air, with a great leap, sense of timing, and then has the size and intent to beat his marker to smash headers.

 

The Italian can be a bit of a mixed bag in possession. He excels when he has his head up and is able to play directly as a short passer and ball-carrier; he glides through space when everything is moving towards goal, but struggles a bit more receiving the ball with pressure on his back, and always seems to need to take one or two touches too many to move the ball on in these situations, often slowing down the play as a consequence.

 

It’s pretty clear that his future does not lie as a deep-lying six or as a pivot; Casadei is clearly in that goal-scoring eight mould. Coaches should be encouraged to get him picking up possession in or approaching the final third as much as possible.

 

He always seems much more comfortable dribbling and combining in these spaces than he does further away from goal where players feel more comfortable pressing aggressively further away from their goal.

Sounds a bit like a new Thomas Müller?

Simple really, really weird to be hanging off his every word, tagging him and writing him love letters. Also really weird to be so upset about people wanting to believe the word of someone on a forum, acting superior because you choose not to believe it. The guy may have someone who is tipping him off, or may be playing the odds, let everyone get on with it, it literally does no on any harm, and if he is genuine, is actually a positive. Why are we making this into a foxestalk civil war 😂

Kinda funny (and interesting) how a mob pounces on you for playing a straight bat and calling out someone. 

 

why such enthusiasm to defend and make excuses for someone who seems to do nothing more than make educated guesses and regurgitate the obvious? I guess the answer is shite is more interesting to read and gossip over  than the banal truth
