What a second half performance from KDH!

 

Great win, great start to the season!

 

Plenty of negatives however and a lot to ponder for Enzo for the next match, and we simply have to get some more creativity and quality in before the end of the transfer window.

 

Really impressed with Winks, Ricardo, KDH and Stephy who really grew into the game. Faes looked good and Doyle looks quality. Good debut from McAteer.

 

Vardy, I'm sorry to say looks finished.

Shout out for Stephy - promising debut. Doyle was excellent too. Winks is going to take some beating as best CM in the division.

Also, Nacho has to start over Vardy. He creates space that Vardy just doesn't anymore.

Vesty running through treacle to be overtaken ao easily to set up a Cov one on one was a bit of a worry, as was Vardy hardly getting a sniff.

 

Not sure about the lack of urgency and tapping it around at 0-1.

 

But I think we can improve.

A lot of it was the same old story to be honest.

 

However...

 

They showed some balls to win after being a goal down. When was the last time that happened?

 

Hopefully it'll build some confidence and character. 

 

This isn't going to be a walk in the park, despite some people thinking it is.

 

Let's hope we've learnt how to win ugly whilst the new manager gets his stamp on the team.

 

It was also nice to see Winks make a tactical foul towards the end.

Far from perfect, we’re going to have to defend much better than that, be a bit more creative in the final third, but at times we played some really good football.

Overall impressed with all the debutants, including McAteer making his debut at this level.

First 3 points on the board and Cov scum leaving feeling robbed - happy days.

KDH was really quite poor for an hour or so, but in the end he made the difference.

 

Mavididi looks promising.

 

McAteer looks good, impressive for his debut at this level. 
 

Nacho changed the game, again. He has to start every game when fit, as a 9. Vardy on vs tired legs, but he just doesn’t offer enough anymore sadly. 
 

Ndidi needs to be replaced, and he will not be a starting #8 after the window. 
 

Praet looked superb and I hope we keep him.

I think the biggest positives were the signings genuinely look class, keeper a bit Shakey at corners but some ****ing solids saves in there too
