Agreed that we need to take a few gambles, just if 10 million euros in the price, that's not the price I want to be paying on a punt.

If it was 2/3 million euros with add ons should he reach certain appearances, with reasonable wages then I'd be happy. I'm just thinking, we need to be able to move a player on if it doesn't work out.

Absolutely I wouldn’t pay that much.

I believe it’s happening

but ill Honestly say this has come from left field

By the way Enzo has his own scouts and trusted people in that part of the work

Not sure is that a good thing or not to be honest.

The €10m euros could include everything inc this seasons loan fee and also all poss add ons ( eg €2m if he scores the winner in the leics senior cup)

Was thinking that, if its now loan with obligation to buy €10m, rather than loan with option to buy for €5.5m, usually the latter doesn't include the loan fee element whereas the obligation is the total transfer value.

Is it just me or does this seem like a big expensive mistake?

I wouldn't really over react to the Turkish press saying its ten million. We don't even know it's definitely happening, they're largely the only ones reporting it. A minute ago it was 6m.

In all likelihood if its happening at all it's probably a loan with any obligation being dependent on promotion anyway.

I dont believe for a second it'll be ten but remember that it's in euros, so it's 8.5m anyway.

It could well be. I'd much prefer loan with an option at a higher price than loan with obligation for slightly less as that league is a minefield and Ghezzal has proven that a lack of pace but could footwork can equal loads of assists, which is what Akgün specialises in.

If the fee is £10m, I'd rather we paid a bit more and brought in Piroe.

Think the point is, that Piroe would be 10m on the FFP books now and Akgun would be 10m in a year. Arsenal and Brentford have done similar in the Raya deal for similar reasons.

Obviously we don’t know the ins and outs, but I’d imagine that’s why they look more favourably on a deal for Akgun as opposed to someone they’d have to buy now.

What's Piroe got to do with the right winger we've been screaming for since Mahrez? No ones saying we won't go for Piroe to.

Neither would be that much for FFP, it would be the transfer fee divided by the length of the contract per year.

Cheers, I’ve got a very vague understanding of it admittedly. This all being said, I’ve got to say I’m surprised we’ve bitten to a obligation to buy rather than an option to buy.

Probably need to see the white of  the eyes of any deal for this guy tbh

Piroe would cost twice, if not more, than Yunus and they play in completely different positions. People need to get this shit out of their heads that Piroe plays wide right. He's not a winger. He is not Maresca's idea of a wide player. Most importantly, he isn't coming here.

Get over it.

This sort of young kid you've never heard of for probably around 6-7m is exactly the sort of signing people have been asking for, a risk on a young player hoping our scout network is up to scratch.

Our entire success was built on this sort of move historically. We go again.

Oh yeah no doubt about it. In my opinion the Piroe ship sailed once it became relatively clear Kel was going to stick around as they’re very similar in profile.

Was just an example of a loan to buy vs buying now.
