We used to have a good session on match days, but it was nothing to do with getting fitter and it usually took place after the game. Start down at The Crown, then move on to.....

I wouldn’t be surprised if they have had one today. With not having to travel far or anything like that they can probably even have their pre match at Seagrave. 
 

Like someone else has said though it may well have been Tuesday.

I don't think I've ever been so excited about a League Cup 1st round game before. Very keen to see more of Marescaball – and also whether there has been further improvements since Sunday. 

On that, there is a great article in the Athletic about the risks attached to the way we now play, especially when we don't quite have the players we need in every role.

I actually want to watch us play, for about the first time in 3 years.

 

I'm intrigued by who plays, where they play, how they play, who we sign etc etc. There's part of me that wants to not get ahead of ourselves, but at the same time believes if we get things right, we could be in a better position than we've ever been. We're looking like we understand how to get to where we want to be. Like when some of our fans mocked Brighton because they were getting plaudits but we were finishing higher....Our approach was never sustainable because of the way we coached, but now, it looks like we're on that same trajectory that they were.

 

We have to get those two wingers and the other number 8 Maresca wants.

I'm actually more excited for a fizzy pop cup game against the reigning bass trophy winners, than I was for most of our games last season. It feels like a fresh start and hopefully, given time, the club can be aired out to remove the stench of Rodgers.
