Yeah me. Great in the first half minus one absolute bizarre bit where he didn't pass the ball for about 5 seconds and gave it away.

 

Second half; awful. Made so many mistakes and caught out plenty of times

Unbelievable how some fans turn on Vestergaard after his performances this season. We lost that game because we didn’t finish our easy chances. That swung the momentum in their favour and I’m not sure having seen their goal a few times quite what he was expected to do when the ball was played behind him. He’s been our best player this season, we’ll miss him in the next two games. We haven’t got an alternative that comes near to him as a CB playing out from the back.

Unreal for 85 minutes, no idea what he is thinking just flicking his leg at the ball for their equaliser, just put it out for a corner if you're unsure. Then after that the whole team did a big turd in their own pants as they have in the big moments all season and he was equally at fault with the shit pass into midfield for the 3nd and giving away a daft foul on the edge of their box for the 3rd.

 

However, personally think with him banned the next 2 games you will see a massive drop off in our control of possession, quality of passes played into the midfield and forwards etc if Coady or Nelson come in.

He was very good both defensively and offensively most of the game - including his brilliant header that should’ve resulted in a goal. His little leg flick that gave them the chance for their goal was clearly a mistake - and a Vestergaard classic at that. He’s always had those in him where he seems to get overconfident and tries the smart thing when he should’ve played safe. The one where he tried to dribble but lost it to Bamford were much worse, though.

 

Still, he was probably MOM for 80 minutes and should not only be just on his mistakes. The problem yesterday wasn’t our defense, but our inability to finish off chances

Or the problem was both?

 

The way our defensive ability seemed to be amateur hour cannot be overlooked.

 

Any bit of sustained pressure and they have shown this season that they 5hit the bed.

 

If we do get promoted, we would get punished week in, week out if had that issue.
