Wilfred Ndidi

Recommended Posts

Wilf was strong and agressive on Saturday, Something we've lacked for so long. If he can keep this side of his game going it will certainly make up for his lack of technical skills.

Though his instinct to pass to Mav instead of shooting was sublime and shows he was willing to put the team first instead of seeking the glory himself.

We just need to get Winks to deliver more in games and things should improve.

Fighting for his place, brilliant Saturday

Tbf he’s usually always brilliant in each game he plays. We missed him so much last season when he was out. But I think he’s absolutely world class. He’s not even that far off N’golo standards nowadays.

He was crap today but that's not on Wilf, he's got no business playing in behind strikers and (trying) to link play at this level. It was obvious to the world and his dog after 20 minutes we needed to change it up and go more attacking. Even if Winks had come off and put Buonanotte and El Couscous with Wilf holding it would have worked better.

It's Levein-esque management

Won the ball back well when we were on top and Everton were tiring, but brain melts every single time after that. Has no idea how to play as that attacking midfielder when it comes to having the ball. To look lost once is forgiveable but to do it numerous times in one game when you have the ball on the edge of the box is just rubbish.

Shanked a shot wide, overhit a pass to Vardy in a good position, hesitated when he could have passed to Mavididi on the left, dallied on the ball and lost good possession.

Get him back to just being the ball-winner and let someone more comfortable on the ball go higher up.

Of course it is, he has done it before and been far better than today.

Well, if like to see @StriderHiryu stats. I thought his work rate, his duels, the ground he covered and his progressive runs were borderline insane.

He did, of course, muck up four times when getting into a good position. That's the rub, I'm afraid. If he could do that too, he wouldn't be playing for us.

I love the guy to bits.

I think even after last season I’ve been still angry at Wilf for his 23/24 efforts, but I’m starting to warm to him again. I don’t want to see him as a 10, but back in his old role, I think he deffo deserves to start in Winks place. Harry was awesome in the championship but I think we need to see if there’s another way

Working on the analysis now, but I think he was really good again, our second best player after Mavididi. The game changed when Buonanotte came on, him and Ndidi working together as box crashers got the whole team going, the rain easing off probably helped.
