Wilfred Ndidi

I will never forgive Enzo for seemingly making people think that Ndidi can be used as a 10 - especially in the Prem ffs

How disheartening must it be as one of his teammates to play a good yet simple ball into him and see the ball roll completely under his foot or his touch sends it 5 yards the wrong way

Agree. Hopefully Cooper recognises this error and plays Skipp, Winks and an attacking CM instead. Perhaps Ndidi as a sub for one of the first two if needed.

it's baffling because Enzo didn't play him as a ten, he played him as a defensive midfielder but 20 yards further forward than you'd usually do so, forcing turnovers higher up and keeping our boot on teams necks. not the same as playing him as an attacking midfielder which is what's happening now

He was disastrous today. His complete lack of ability on the ball costs us dearly. Skipp and Winks have to be the midfield two, and if a third is needed is be inclined to play Bilal or Bobby Reid as an 6/8. Ndidi should be used as a sub.

Was clearly played as a 10 to try and win the ball higher up the pitch and disrupt the likes of Tielemans. Thought he did ok at this and Villa never had a grip of the midfield imo. The downside is he’s very limited there from a creativity or goal threat perspective.

People saying he hasn’t been good for 3 seasons. It perfectly coincides with him trying to play a different role - one that doesn’t suit him. He’s a destroyer. He’s not an 8 and he’s certainly not a 10. Of course he looks crap.

Genuinely can’t believe I’m having to watch another season of Ndidi and Faes in the PL.

It was painful two years ago, now it’s infuriating.

Three year contract extension for Ndidi. Three years.

Wow didn't realize it was 3 years......he just looks so tired playing..... obviously he's only here for the money.

He hasn't got it in him any more, been here to long and he doesn't find it an exciting challenge to play for us any more

Hes not an attacking midfielder, its pretty simple 😂. He can still do a job defensively next to Skipp or Winks but any manager that thinks he has the skillset to be an advanced midfielder in the Prem needs to visit a Shrink

Hmm. He actually performs better further up nowadays. In general play anyway…he’s obviously not enough of an attacking threat to play there.

He’s awful in the deep lying role as he just can’t look after the ball as well as you need to in that role in today’s game. He’s just the opponents pressing trigger.

He should be a backup option at best.

3 more years of him is just painful as you can tell he’s a damn good lad.

The decisions we make constantly are just baffling, to most it was obvious his legs were going at least 2 years ago and that’s being kind.

If we had ex professionals in our medical and recruitment staff they would at least know if he good enough to be given a further long term contract.

The fact that he waited for other clubs to come calling for his services and none came forward shows that nobody really was interested in him. So his only option was to crawl back to Leicester because everybody knows we're a soft touch with a board who haven't a clue on what's really happening.

Been the same for years. For all his winning back, he just loses it again quickly

People forget how bad he was as a DM when we got relegated. I don’t know why we offered him an extension, much less start him every game. His skill level is League 1 and we’re playing him in an attacking position. Pathetic.
