At a time when the club needed a bit of heart and passion in their performances, this guy comes in and shows it in abundance. It shouldn't have been the case to rely on a youngster to do this. But while the manager and seasoned/experienced pros had their fingers up their own arses, there were very few other options. He may not have been good enough at the time, but not many others were. And I think had we changed manager, perhaps they could have got more of a tune out of him. On the flip side, under the new setup if Maresca isn't keen on him in the new system, then it's not worth keeping him around. Maresca seems very determined to get who he wants in, and get out who he doesn't want. If this is a transfer that enables him to get his desired players in, then so be it. And if this is the start of the exodus that Rudkin has wanted to do (via Maresca) then hopefully it means other incomings to suit the managers style. I liked him, but he’s not going to start here, wish him all the best. Can’t doubt his attitude, he wanted to stay and fight, but he wants to be a regular.
