if you compare his snatch shot and miss vs coventry opening day of the season to his excellent take and finish at Southampton and now last nights very composed finish past the keeper, the improvement is astonishing in so short a time. He's has pace and work rate on top of all that, I'm beginning to think he will turn out to be a very very good player.

Yep there was even a picture of him on the official site holding his shirt on the pitch, before it was deleted.

It’s such a bizarre thing and it happened at the perfect time to be forgotten, pre social media boom and at a time when the internet was definitely in most people’s homes but nowhere near as accessible as it is now. I can’t even remember if he was even useful at that stage!

The real shame of todays game was seeing a good young player in bits because he knows he’s out for 6/7 weeks minimum (I suspect).

I wonder if he’d warmed up enough before coming on.

It was a typical hamstring situation, a foot race to get to the ball first and in time. On a cold hammy, just too much
